I started using Google Wallet in 2016 after someone recommended it. It's just as easy as PayPal and there are no fees. Looks like Google is revamping it again.

I really loved when Wallet offered a physical card that pulled from the wallet balance... but I suspect their fees made that too expensive (they didn't charge me anything for it.)

I'm glad to see the full integration w/Android Pay and more and more places are allowing tap n pay with phones so this will work just fine, over time.

More and more online systems use the "card" model in the app where different services are represented by cards (like Google Pay, Uphold, etc.) If smartphones take over payments and people stop using physical cards any more... there will eventually be a generation growing up that doesn't know why we have all our accounts in images of cards!
