They're never been particularly popular - I think the dark edgespots (at least that's me) - but they're also more plentiful than other PNY chips. I think most of the primary PNY $25s are overseas at this point :-(
 
This has gotta be a chipper on here or CT. I'm still having a hard time that the "standard" asking price for these is now $3/chip o_O

The crazy thing is these will sell no problem. There are countless sold listings at these prices for these chips.

There are a few reasons the PNY 25s are so cheap. As bergs mentioned, the colors are a bit dull/drab, they have giant inlays, and these are some of the easiest chips to find out there. I forget the exact count (it's posted somewhere) but I think there was something like 50k of these 25s made (don't quote me on that though).

I'd play with China Clays long before I'd even consider playing with a set of PNY chips. Not joking either.

I get the current market prices and agree these are priced accordingly. My point is I've had racks or sets on the four suits mold and the paulson mold and I prefer the THC over all other molds including RHC.

THC is still my favorite of all the molds. THC>RHC>Suits>Giant Inlay IMHO, haven't ever played with chips on the pineapple le noir mold.

Ya, definitely. THC is the only mold by Paulson I like. RHC looks nice at first, until you start to play with them... then the flea bites come flooding in. No thanks! And the suits mold chips are way too slippery for me.

I will never own a non THC set again by Paulson :)
