I got a few Paulson 24010 racks from Apache and they don't seem to be able to accomodate 20 Paulson or CPC chips. I can only fit 19(I can fit 20 chipco chips however). Is it a know thing? What's the best rack for Paulson/CPC?

Are you stuffing mint uncirculated paulsons in there? I have a few barrels sometimes won’t fit too

yes

Any suggestion for an alternative rack that will fit?
Most likely a cheap amazon one, I’ve notice a few barrels does the same what you are talking about, I have alternated chips in different barrels and sometimes that helps

Here’s a mint barrel, fits perfectly.

Measure the barrels with a ruler to see if they are exactly 66.7 mm.

I don't have too many mint Paulsons, but a few mint barrels I have, I've needed to squeeze the barrel (to compress and reduce any slight warping) before they would fit into a 66.7mm rack -- and some are snug in a 66.7mm barrel. But I've never had trouble fitting 20 Paulsons into a 'name brand' rack, either the 24010 or PAUL-SON stamped racks.

As for CPC chips, if I'm not mistaken, some if not all molds are a thicker than Paulsons. And some chips are slightly thicker than others. I have some barrels of mint Circle-Square chips (either CPC, or predecessor ASM) that just absolutely will NOT fit in 66.7 or 67.7 mm racks, I had to find some 70mm racks for those chips. Although if you put the chips into play, over time, they will wear down a bit, barely noticeable to the eye, but they should start to fit in racks a little better.

Put 19 in and then insert the 20th in the center.

Are these hotstamp chips? Maybe they have a bit of a warp. I have several racks of mint paulsons in Paulson racks... some are tight.

They are the fan of cards.

Will try that, thanks.

Just throwing this out there, if anyone has chips that they can't get into a rack and they find it frustrating, I'll take those chips, especially if they are in mint or mint like conditon. Please understand that I'm just doing it for everyone's sanity and for the good of all. Yes, it is a burden, but, I am willing to take that on. So, if you find yourself in this situation, plesae drop me a line and I'll give you my mailing address and take that burden right from your plate :)

Not all heroes wear capes! Thanks for taking one for the team!

If you squeeze the barrel together a little bit and rotate them in, they’ll fit no problem. Best way to fix the problem isn’t to buy more racks though... it’s to get those chips in play!!

The 24010 racks are the ones provided to casinos by Paulson with their chips (before a historian chimes in let me just add a disclaimer that maybe this isn’t the case in ALL instances). They make them a tight fit as they’ll fit perfectly after a few weeks in play and better snug than loose when the chips get worn down and they're stacking racks 10 high in the cage.
