Here's my first Paulson set, in a vintage leather case, like a boss!
My game's small - .25/.50, typically 4-7 players, $20 buyins - 400 chips is plenty for this, with a few larger denoms for rebuys after rebuys after rebuys.

1 rack of Crystal Palace quarters
2 racks of Terribles $1's
1 rack of Golden Eagle $5's (holy crap, mint Paulsons are amazing)
That's a bank of $725, which is probably the most I've ever seen on the felt in this game.
25 Dunes Baccarat $20's and
5 Dunes Baccarat $100's add a thousand on top of that.

I'm not a big fan of the aluminum cases and I thought this eBay vintage Lowe briefcase is a nice understated way to go.

The big chips are stored in plastic coin pocket sheets, folded up under the racks, with the cards. I thought these sheets were a pretty unique solution, until I received a sample set from @Tommy today, shipped in one of the exact same pages - ha!
If anybody has a better solution for storing 30 oversized chips in that space, I'd love to hear it.

I was gonna say "Hawt" but yeah, what he said...... ;)

Very, very well done!! I just love mixed sets, both the process and the results... And this continues to be a reminder to myself that I need to track down a barrel of those Dunes $20's... they're moving from my "nice to have" list to my "need to have" list... ;)

Wow, very nice mixed set. My cash set for my games is:
100 - $.25
150 - $1
150 - $5
40 - $25
10 - 100

And we play 5 to 10 players at $40-$100 buy-ins and rebuys..
Works great, as long as they dont HORDE the quarters..

I can see why. Very sexy chips

Yeah, thanks, those $5's sure are hot. They're available all day everyday at Spinetti's.
When I first saw them I was hooked, but I thought, no, you don't need to pay for mint chips. So I searched for similar ones, but what I found was either in lousy condition, or not a full rack, or I got outbid.
Finally I said to myself, just buy the ones you want! And considering the product, the price was actually reasonable.
But yeah, shot story long, I'm glad I got them.

Oh, and public service announcement on the Lowe case (because there are a quite a few on eBay - go grab one) - those wood racks only hold 96 Paulsons.
I'm actually glad I found out the hard way though. I might have been anal about it and made it a deal breaker. Now that I have it, no big deal, and I'm really glad I bought it.

Love the 5s. Was there a bulk discount on the 5s from Spinettis?

The fives just arrived today and I'm still sitting here admiring them. With the textured, shaped inlay and razor sharp mint edges, they're really everything you could hope for out of a Paulson chip.
And yes, I just asked for a rack price, and the price he gave me seemed damn fair. To give you a ballpark, they offered a PCF discount on these over the summer on this thread: http://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/exclusive-pcf-member-specials.13637/

Those rack also only fit 96 ASM No Molds. It's not a big deal. As long as the rack is full, I'm happy. I like what you did with the 20s and 100s. Good thinkin!

And another one bites the dust and falls into the rabbit hole...... say so long to your wallet contents. (y)
