I just mocked these up and wanted to see what others thought about them. The inlay is a work in progress, but it does the job for right now.

My first thoughts were:

$5 = Lady Luck $5
$25 = PCA $25
$100 = Empress $100
$500 = Mardi Gras $5
$1000 = ???? Were did your insperation come from?

Your inlay art is clean and classy, great looking set.

Yeah Dunes looks close. But it's the $500 chip. I know the color combo looked kind of familiar.

Edit: Nevermind. Thought you were tipping dunes $1000...

tapatalking ...

The Empress called and wants her $100 back.

These used for a cash game converted to pennies, or a tourney set?

The only critical observation I have of the set is the relatively heavy use of orange in your edge spots - three of the five chips use it, and one uses it exclusively. It doesn't look bad on any single chip, mind you...it's just relied upon heavily.

New mock-up using butterscotch on the T100 instead of arc yellow. I like it much better. These chips are all from a different line using some of my favorite colors/edgespots.

T5 - Condado Beach ($5 chip)
T25 - President Casino on the Admiral ($25 chip)
T100 - Empress ($100 chip)
T500 - BCC Mardi Gras ($5 chip)
T1000 - Dunes ($500 chip)

Love where your'e going with the set James... Really good...

Btw, your T500s are almost the same as the $5s I'm ordering! My spots are Retro Blue and Lavender though... Same spot lay-out... :)

My first thoughts were CB $5, PCA $25, Empress $100, Protege $1000, and Casino Aztar $1 (secondary). I'd probably go with PCA $100 secondary colors for the black chip, which would eliminate one of the 'yellow'-based colors (you have a bunch already).

Also -- if this is a tourney set, why not swap the yellow and white chips and go with a more-standard line-up with a white $500 and yellow $1000?

Part of the reason I want to keep the yellow T500 chip is because I always really like the yellow Casablanca T500. I also wanted the 8A18 spot configuration to be the last chip in the set because it's the most complex spot pattern.

As far as using the colors for the PCA secondary $100 chip: it wouldn't eliminate the butterscotch color. If I remember correctly it would only swap the light blue with pink.

EDIT: I know there are a lot of yellow based colors, but I don't know how to change them and still like them as much as I like this set. :(

Okay, so I changed a couple minor things on the tourney set and mocked-up a cash set as well.

Love the tournament set but prefer your original 25 (PCA yum)

Love the cash set also but the $20 bugs me for some reason. It's a great chip but to me it feels out of place.

Maybe try darker more contrasting colors? Just a thought but if you love it as is leave it.

These look really good. Really can't think of anything to add, maybe Saturn yellow instead of DG yellow on the 20. It doesn't show as well in the design tool but the Saturn has a green twinge to it in the sample color set. Just a thought

I also see that you changed your inlay from the spade tree logo to the retro theme. What prompted the change?

I agree stocky... The $20 chip is great in isolation but I'm not sure it fit by the $5...

James, take a look at the T1000 from the Aztar Hot Stamped set... That's my favorite chip of that bunch... Maybe you can play around with those colors in a different spot config (combine 414 with 418 maybe)... Just one suggestion of many possible:
