I believe the chips they used on HSP Season 2 were 43mm ceramics. Some of the commemorative ceramic chips they have are Chipcos. Does Palms Casino still uses ceramics chips anywhere in the casino or have they all been converted to house molds? According to chipguide, some of the ceramics are still live. I am looking for a barrel of the $1s, if they are indeed still live. Please let me know if you have any or can harvest them. Many thanks.

Palms is one of the casinos that never reopened so it will be impossible to check with the cage in the near term.

These ceramics date back from the early days of the Palms, when the Maloof’s owned it. I think the odds that of any of these are still on the premises is extremely low. Since chips are a financial obligation of the casino, they are generally called for redemption & new chips issued with a change of ownership. I don’t remember when Stations bought it from the Maloofs, but these chips were probably called and destroyed 6mos to a year after the sale closed.

I think the current/obsolete tag on the chipguide is the least updated and most prone to error on the site. According to the chipguide, Paris $5 & $20 Baccarat are still current. They are not.

GLWS. The good news is that I don’t think these are to uncommon to find

Station bought Palms from Maloof in may 2016. Chips were then called a few month in 2017.
I have been at Palms in August 2017 and I used very new chips. I took 1$ and 5$ souvenir chips: they are nearly mint.
