Can everyone chime in on how deep your cabinet is front to back? There seems to be a variance in this. Also how wide are they left to right?

I really want a map cabinet for chip storage, but locations in my man cave are limited. Some of the pics I see seem not as deep as others. If that is the case I could put one like that under my wall mount tv and get rid of the media console.

Thanks.

Oh...and more pics won't hurt anyone

Just FYI, the drawers and slides on most map / flat file cabinet are not designed for the weight of multiple racks of chips.

The older 70s and 80s 4/5 drawer file cabinets can handle the weight with no problem. I used to store my power tools in one. Now 3 of the drawers are for extra chip storage.

Agreed. Many of the modern map drawers wont be strong enough.

I would try and buy a solid wood hutch from somewhere. Some Ikea stuff is solid wood but you need to check it.

particle board is not your friend for storing heavy stuff.
