Curious about the Ontario poker scene. Any opinions on where the best room to play is? I know Casino Niagara has a big room but have actually never been. Casino Rama use to have a big room but ever since Covid have downsized and also increased rake to 10% up to $15 which is crazy high!

Anyone current on the take and games played at the Great Blue Heron, in Scugog?

I was considering a Rama visit....now no thanks, it used to be $1min-$5 max rake on the $1/2 tables....max 10% up to $5. $15 is sure a big chunk up, underground rooms don't look so bad for rakes anymore.

Ya I agree, I really do love the Casino Rama resort though. Great place to stay with very cheap accommodations. Lots of stuff to do besides the casino as well.

Pretty sure Casino Niagara is still doing session fees - $7 per half hour. I believe Brantford's rake is same as Rama. Neither are running tournaments and no plans to start any.

In Southern Ontario, Niagara is your best option.

Do you know why none of them are offering tournaments? Didn’t Niagara and Rama have a lot of tournaments pre Covid?

My assumption is that poker doesn't make them a lot of money and therefore they just don't give a f***.
