Hmm, an Excalibur story? Once upon a time, the Excalibur got these awesome quarterpie housemold $1s and then decades later, upNdown started collecting them to use in his Vegas mixed house mold set.
D&D? I never had many chances to play. I had some older cousins who would play, but the couple of times they let me play, I just tried to attack everything and annoyed them.

Anyway, cool giveaway. Congratulations on a year!

D&D story!
My character was a drow elf named, Mountain Dewd. I was rolling to surprise attack 2 folks near a stream that I needed to cross, rolled a 1. Slipped on the rocks in the stream, they heard me, attacked, and I nearly lost it all until backup came to help. It’s sucked, but it was awesome.

Is...is that a blue die? I have a thing for blue dice.

So I think it only appropriate to thank @moechar for dealing me that 1 outer that allowed me to go on to win the main event and those sweet, sweet blue dice. I guess also to @Josh Kifer for throwing the soiree and putting up the dice to win, and @Saoliver for supplying the whiskey that fueled my superb play to win them.

As for an Excalibur memory, my earliest memory if Vegas was as a wee boy, and we went to the tournament of kings, front row for the black knight. It has always been my favorite Vegas spot since then.

Congrats and IN, thanks! I got super lucky once like a decade ago at Excalibur and won my younger daughter a stuffed animal from one of those claw machines at the kids arcade area downstairs. Of course, my older daughter wanted one too, so I played the same claw machine and somehow got another of the same stuffed animal (fortunately, so it was "fair") for my older daughter. I thought I was on a streak and proceeded to try a few more times to win another, but the gambling gods did not continue to grant me good fortune...

(I just hit my one year too! Will also do a giveaway. Just gotta figure out what I want to give away...)

Big thanks to @CraigT78 for the cut cards, my first ones, makes it feel official.

Dungeons and Dragons memory, my gosh, what a blast. I was dungeonmastering while deployed to Antarctica for my second trip down and the campaign was a frozen wasteland, so perfect. We grew to 6 player characters and 3-5 people watching each sessions so I almost had half of base there, it got to the point where other social events had to come to me like a Godfather.

And for the meme its not an image but an all time classic on YouTube:

I remember the first year I went to Vegas we stayed at the Luxor and we would walk through the Excalibur every which way we weee going since we were at the end of the strip so at the time they had some sort of daily steak dinner special going on which was $7.77. My friends and I swore up and down we’d take I’ll this deal and when we finally showed up for our fill the fellow working at the casino firmly advised us to forgo this attempt.

Thank you @Pinesol13 for helping me with my cards molds artwork. They've been used 5 or 6 times since I received them, and I still comments about how cool they are. Couldn't be happier :) (So happy with them, I've decided to not by any more barrels of clay chips for samples haha, hopefully gonna stick with these for a few years atleast)

Congrats on the giveaway!

Thanks to @Schmendr1ck for being super nice and holding the title of the only PCFer I’ve met in person so far!

My Excalibur memory isn’t gambling related but I love it. I grew up in southern Utah and I’d travel down to Vegas for little weekend getaways with my parents fairly often. My dad would take me down a couple times a year for motocross races and we often stayed on the Excalibar end of the strip. Even if we didn’t stay in the Excalibur, we would always hike over there first thing in the morning and pick up fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts from the food court. I have a ton of memories of that walk and sitting in the mostly deserted Excalibur food court with my dad.

First, congrats!

I'm posting to celebrate and "just because," plus I've been on a giveaway sun run this year, so please redraw for someone else if I happen to win.

Thanks to @Josh Kifer for slinging crap, taking it in return, and giving things away like there's no tomorrow. You make PCF fun, jerk.

The first time I stayed on the Strip, it was at Excalibur. I played poker a few times in their "room" and always did well. The poker room was like one of those displays in the middle of the aisle at the grocery store, the kind that you always accidentally hit with your cart trying to get past. But instead of canned green beans, it was usually half full of horrible poker players.

I played RPGs with a group of friends for about five years during and after college. We usually played about once every 2-4 weekends - sometimes one-shots, sometimes longer campaigns. But by far the most memorable game we played was a huge D&D campaign that lasted about eighteen months. I miss that group and I miss the games.

I’d like to thank @Sicembears for the intro to this site and chipping, although I think my wife curses his name!

However, I would like to entered into the super mario drawing mainly cuz I really wanted to post the shirt.

Thank you for the opportunity.

Thank you, satisfyingbutton!

1.Thank you to @JP1984 for introducing me to the UK/EU contingent of the site and sending me some great samples, which ultimately changed the direction I was headed with my collection and has probably saved / lost me a lot of money (Depending on how you want to view it.) :D

2.Here's a PCF Mario Meme I made:

3.I haven't been to any of those casinos, nor have a played dungeons and dragons, so I will leave the other ladies and gentleman to battles the other one out.

Great give away, and all the best.

Awesome giveaway!

As someone who lived in Italy for several years, I should have connected the dots on this a long time ago.
Proof that Mario is Italian

@FordPickup92 is going to die laughing at this one!

Congratulations for hitting the one year mark @satisfyingbutton ! It flies by quickly... yesterday I was making my "18 months in the hobby thread" and today it has been 3 1/2 years! I blame the delicious gummies that @inca911 forced down my throat at all these meet ups! Lmao

1) so many to thank... but the one that stands out right now was @MegaTon44 and his amazing wife Mrs. Amanda... Dan had an amazing set up in his unfinished basement literally running 4 tables almost like a casino but in a home game... during covid shutdown he finished the entire huge basement, hosted a meet up and let like 50 of us invade his beautiful new basement card room, but not only that, also made room for as many as he could in his beautiful home so we didn't all have to put out the extra cash for hotels! There were literally people sleeping everywhere! Lol

Every single meal, desert, in the rooms brand new towels and every single toiletry you could imagine... every single detail of this amazing weekend planned out to the T! It was absolutely amazing... still can't get over the Ice Cream bar... when I say Ice cream bar... I mean, 15 different toppings, chocolates, Gummy worms, diced nuts, every flavor of syrup, actual ice cream cups and spoons! Enough that would make a Baskin Robbins go "well dayumn!" It was the perfect meet up and these amazing people never asked for a dime from anyone!

Again thank you so much Dan and Amanda!

2) why did no one post the greatest Mario picture of all time

3) well... I didn't know ANYONE had fond memories of Excalibur... I made the mistake of taking the "cheap Vegas room" exactly ONE time! The smell of 100 year old cigarettes in that place makes me throw up almost every time I go there... someone will say "hey let's go check out excalibur" and I just respond "WHY???" To be fair it is just dated but I really can't get over that horrid smell and yes we walked through in June this year at the convention and... yup .. it still stinks! Haha

But years ago when they came out with video Roulette I would walk between Mandolay Bay, Luxor and Excaliber playing the 3 machines depending on my streaks... I don't continue to play if I am totally off, I take a hike and reset before the next number crunching session...

so I was running well about 3 am tipping the lady $10 to bring me a Bud, a frozen Margarita and a Margarita on the rocks... every 30 minutes like clock work she was back... I'm sitting at Excaliber and a lady walks up and sits down beside me in a very short dress covered in flashy sequins... it's pretty obvious where she had been, but I love a great conversation, why not have a 3am talk about life with a prostitute sitting at a Roulette machine in stinky Excaliber. Mostly small talk but she had no issues admitting what she did and why. One of those things that I think we are all curious on how someone goes down that path. I was not judging by any means... just wanted to hear her story.

Next thing my buddies are waking up and come and get me for breakfast around 8am... I was up a couple hundred bucks and had a 5 hour talk with a woman that lives an entirely different lifestyle than my own... life lessons and different perspectives, I had gained so much knowledge into a totally ignorant subject that morning.

So if I had one positive memory of Excalibur... I guess that was it!

Again congratulations @satisfyingbutton I would rather a new member win something so please don't put me in the giveaways... just wanted to contribute! AKA (sitting at work waiting for an electrical inspector without a damn thing to do! Haha)
