Came accross this box for $5 at local thrift store while looking for cases to store chips. I need to get some better chips yet but definitely worked out better than expected. I cut wood dowels to length as separators and chips fit almost perfect.
Anybody else do this?

Gotta say only case I've seen where the chips were worth less than the case.

To be honest majority of these old plastic chips are my neighbors that I'm borrowing for a weekend casino party.
Much easier to have 50 of 20 different kinds of chips playing roulette, craps and a few other games so players can't say the chips that weren't theirs are theirs.
My good chips are separated in a different case into 20 players worth of stacks ready for holdem.

I plan on getting a bunch more stacks to fill this box with my own once I find what I want to buy which is really why I joined this forum to research or find a deal on classifieds.

We put the box to use this weekend.
Made a few changes tho.
I removed and just set a few trays of chips up top since the case was so heavy and I ended up using the trays.
First time I tried them Pretty handy and less need to count chips. Just stack till full and a row is 20.
I may even just look into those tray holding boxes.

Super cool. Love to see the repurposed thrift store find!
