There's been some discussion here and there about 3D printing with several members, but no consolidated spot to discuss even share some builds, poker related or not.

I'll start with what I'm currently running. I've got a Creality Ender V2 (like everyone), but very little of it remains original. Much more like a Voron Switchwire.

I’ll start with my first actual project.

I’d been doing some test prints and getting my head around 3D printing with the usual gimmicky stuff everyone prints at first, but it was time to solve an actual real world problem.

The curtain in our camper are shit, and needed re-doing. We camp with a 1978 Boler. As far as vintage campers go there’s decent availability for parts, but a lot is still DIY.

Over the last couple weeks when time allowed I was learning about Fusion 360 and designed up some mounts for new curtain rods. The goal was to re-use some existing mounts for the current curtains. I designed a little bracket that fits, and also has hoops to allow a dowel to slide in become the new curtain rod rather than the track that exists currently.

I’ll come back and add some new photos, but this is the work so far.

I have a Creality CR10 V2. I have a BL touch that I haven’t installed yet. Mostly little house projects and side work stuff.

I’ve been a SolidWorks user for about 20 years now… so I do all my designing in SolidWorks.

So here’s what I ended up with after a few prototypes and test prints.

I’m happy with the design. Lightweight and sturdy and attaches to the original curtain mounts. I’ve got them loosely in place for now (you can see the back one hanging), since we still need to sew the curtains and finish installation.

I've got an Ender 5. I've mostly use mine to print small objects and cases for electronics projects, but they can be great fun to play with!

Now pimp it out to become a full shroud so it covers the old hardware and provides a second attachment point (would level that leaning clip on the left).

That one's just not bolted down. Rod is captured on both sides so I still need to get it out after the curtain is ready to go on.

Don't hate that at all for a v2.0 :)

Input knob on the AV receiver mysteriously broke, kids deny any involvement.

Good opportunity to try designing a more complex shape with some tighter tolerances. Quite happy with the result being good enough to use on the first try. Might refine, might not.
