finding a place to start has been a little hard. Not knowing the General landscape of this world I just kind of took a stab in the dark and haven’t really had anyone give feedback. I stumbled on top chiplab and threw these together. I like the general idea of having a theme to the design but after having seen a lot of the mock-ups on here I’m glad I didn’t rush into buying these. Really the three things I want out of my first set. One stack color to be pink, my initials to be on them, and good weight that are easy to stack and shuffle.

The blue five was the first one I started with and tried to copy to the others. And as for shuffling when I’m playing I’d say I spend 85 percent of playing shuffling.

Welcome! Number one would be deciding what kind of chips you’d like to use for your customs.

You could go semi custom with china clays by ordering blank royals or majestics from apachepokerchips.com and design your own labels.

Another option is fully customizable by going with ceramics from brpropoker.com or @SUN-FLY Poker Chips
The latter also offers ceramic hybrids.

Yet another ceramics option is the cards mold. Cheapest of the bunch from what I have gathered.

If you’d like to go with something premium you have the option of fully customizable clay chips with inlays or hot stamps through classicpokerchips.com Or you could build a set of your favorite Paulsons, murder/mill them and design your own label artwork and get in line with @Gear , the label guru of PCF.

Make sure you make an informed choice by getting samples. There are a lot of people here and they will tell you this or that is best, but there’s no other way of finding out what you like best than by sampling the available options

Have a look at some of the well-liked casino chips around here (Horseshoe, Aria etc.) and then go through the custom sets in the Chip DB (in the menu at the top) to get across a lot of designs.

Generally, people will go for different edge spots on each chip (perfectly fine if you want all the same though), and try to find some edge spot/chip color combos that really pop.

That's my $0.02 anyway.

Some feedback = I wouldn't put red and pink base colors on two chips beside each other in the lineup as they are relatively close in the color palette and will be frequently splashed together in a game.

This can also lead to 'dirty stacks' where you might miss say a $1 in your pile of $0.50. And while we're at it, you don't need the $0.50. The 25c to the $1 is fine, you don't want heaps of 2x chip denims (25c to 50c to $1).
