I’ll always show at showdown. I’ve never understood the reluctance. What could be better for my image than to show that I’m a donkey playing crap cards?

A little confusing to me at a casino though.

Hand 1 heads up showdown:
Player 1 – flashes one card to show he has a pair
Dealer – You must always show two cards to win

Hand 2 heads up showdown:
Player1 mucks
Player 2 mucks
Dealer – awards pot to player 2

At the casino I deal at, player 1 has the right to ask for player 2 (the caller) to see his hand. But it’s just good poker etiquette to scoop the pot and move on when player 2 has mucked.
