So, like many of us on here, I couldn't resist the @TheChipRoom Black Friday sale. Everything looked great, but I am a tinkerer, and I had the idea to pick up one of the IOC tourney sets, send them to @Josh Kifer to get milled, and turn them into a small cash set. These are what I picked up:
The idea was to use this breakdown:
120 Green - $.25
220 Red - $1
70 Black - $5
20 Orange - $20
Thats a total bank of $1,000, which plays just fine for my 8 person $.25/$.50, $50 max buy in, post tourney cash game.
So, the next step was working on the labels. A while ago, I got a set of the spirit mold, china clays and had @Gear help me put together the labels for them (the color of the denom is the color of the chip, all were solids):
I want to keep The Basement Club theme, as my players put this together for me on the one year anniversary of our league:
So, I want to keep the name, but I was thinking of any way to "freshen" it up or get a new idea. I'm not an artistic person, so the member who was helping me asked how I felt about the Isle of Capri artwork. It totally made sense, have a "The Basement Club" tribute set to the Isle of Capri's. This is what we have so far:
Bird same color as the chip
Same color bird and demon
Same color bird across all chips, blue background
Same color bird white background
Same color Bird, red denoms
If I had to make a decision today, I like the first one the best with the different color birds and the black demons, but I am still thinking. So, I am looking for any feedback, thoughts, ideas, memes, etc. Thanks for viewing!
