Hey all,

I moved to Vegas about 2 years ago, and only recently starting collecting chips. I have been a lifetime collector of random other things, and now that I'm in Vegas, it only seems like a natural transition. My goal is to have at least one chip from every casino that currently exists in Las Vegas, as well as a few "chase" pieces for me.

I play poker, so I enjoy collecting a few different chips from the places I play. I'm very regretful that I didn't start doing this sooner, as many of the casinos look like they're going to remain permanently closed thanks to Covid, so getting chips will be much more challenging (Fiesta, etc.). I also made the mistake of not having this idea sooner, as I've played in a bunch of casinos in different states/countries (pre-Covid) that I probably won't be able to travel to any time soon.

I bought a neat board to insert the chips into, which I will be getting framed eventually, and I'd very much like to end up with a few of them. Hopefully I'll be able to track down my grails here, and hopefully the Chip Collectables show ends up happening next year, because that sounds like a blast.

I would love any advice more "seasoned" collectors have for me.

I've attached pictures of my "base" collection. 120315517_245043873617426_2331550984980236249_n.jpg120432837_251869356158354_7643745323711583820_n.jpg

Michael’s sells inexpensive “coin” display cabinets that many of us use for this purpose. Lots of sizes. Many of us also put custom samples in these as well.

welcome!

Welcome! I have one chip from every room I’ve played it...was fortunate to start collecting them from Casino #1! Build a list and start trying to fill in...it’s really cool to have them all if you can eventually get there!

Welcome! If you have a chance to stop by @Spinettis Gaming they sell a variety of casino chips you may be able to find some of the closed casinos you would've liked to have had. Also, singles sell some times here, as well as eBay. Not as glamorous as harvesting, but equally as expensive! Have fun on your journey! You may find a few PMs in your inbox of people interested in you harvesting for them

I grabbed 5 of these cases from micheals
