Newbie - how to label chips (1 Viewer)

hello,

I have always wondered how to label chips? Any quick instructions or tips? Where can you buy labels? Can Paulson starburst be labelled?

Any info would be appreciated

If you put a label on a hotstamp, it will not make good contact and likely come off, or the bumps of the HS will show through. Many times, you will need to either remove the stamp with milling, or shave down the high points with a tool (chisel I hear works well). If your stamp is well worn, might have more luck just applying the label.

One more suggestion for contacting Gear, he milled my hs and they turned out great.

I've had great success with gear labels and with labels from PGI. Customer service from Gear was spectacular, and I haven't looked anywhere else since.
