What's everyone looking to achieve in 2023, chipping wise? Mine are as follows:

1.) Start posting on my YouTube channel more (shameless plug, sorry). https://www.youtube.com/@chipsandachair4221

2.) Host my first meetup (and possibly attend another one abroad).

3.) Actually finish off the following two sets before even thinking about starting another (unless I can get my hands on some Tiger Palace chips, obvs).

After almost 3 years with no poker, my plans for 2023 are to live life a little more! Will be returning to my weekly league game, and hopefully making some meet ups! With Riverside Card Room (@jr8719) and The Wasp's Nest (@JP1984) top of the list!
First game will be in April mate, seat reserved.

My goals are simple.

1. Win a flip and get a seat into the PSPC next month.
2. Win the PSPC.
3. Spend winnings on Tiger chips.

Then I'll retire....probably.

More likely, I'll focus on corrupting a mate who isn't on the forum and help him buy a CPC set for his craps table. Oh, my CPC set should be here by April too, if I run good.

Cut at least 2 sets and extras, somehow resist Tigers, finish all chip maintenance in Q1, and don't add any new projects beyond continuing a backburner and CPCs. If I succeed in any one of these I'll be surprised.

My resolution is to finally go into semi retirement from this hobby, only to work on long standing CPC projects that I have into the works. I have three years' worth of projects still in the works that I want to get done and made, so I won't be able to fully retire until at least then.

No more new non CPC sets, acquire only custom sample sets and new playing card set ups. Of course, like those that look to lose weight and go to the gym at the start of each year, I'll probably fall off the wagon again after a couple of weeks if I'm in the position to acquire Tigers.

Otherwise, it's just enjoying what I have and putting everything into play regularly and be able to attend the same two most local meetups I was able to get to last year once more this year. I'll even sit at the big boy table at PHL for one buy in.

Focus on finishing “keeper” sets, instead of buying loads of random singles, DBs, and barrels/racks of chips without a specific plan.

Organize the singles collection so I actually know what I have and what I don’t (I’ve bought singles several times, later realizing I already had them).

Figure out a way to sell or otherwise get rid of excess chips I already have.

Land at least 1 Tiger Palace chip for use as a capper.

This is for 2023, correct? Because I bought some “random chips” within a minute of making this post :wtf:

1. Not selling any forever sets, not picking up anything new that isn’t a forever set. It’s helped a lot with fomo and such.

2. Stay somewhat within budget. Wife and I budgeted an amount for “all things poker” for the year. Between hosting in April and Vegas in June, that will pretty much spend it. Add in SQM and chips I’ve already purchased now, and I’m probably considerably over. I better play well!

3. Not get banned in 2023.

1- I will not order any new sets this year unless I sell another set in lieu.....*(add-ons, are not new sets)
2-aim to get a charity game up and running at my local gun club....(and find a charity worthy/willing to take our $)
3- that is all I am prepared to commit to

1. Make 2023 mine!

2. Continue making videos like I have been. Mainly focusing on getting back into the historical videos, but also figuring out new things within the hobby and talking about those specific things. Try to dig deep within TCB or PCF and talk about things that happened years ago because those things have been talked about, but there is some good information hiding.

3. For my collection, I'd like to hopefully finish an inlaid TRK set, continue to focus on getting things in quantity, possibly step up the singles game and more. This year I bought a lot of random stuff that I didn't necessarily need, but they were cheap so I thought why not take a crack at them. For example. a 300ish DiaSqr set that I got on eBay.

4. I realized early on in the year exactly what I wanted to collect and what direction I'd like to go in so I'm going to try and stay on that path as I've done so far.

5. Get these sets into more play throughout the year, maybe/possibly host a meetup during the summer and just make amazing memories!

- Make it to an actual home poker game sometime

- Become more versed in modern poker theory and make it to the Aria for 1/3 NL

- Finish ECHO Cash set and order

- Design and maybe order ECHO playing cards and an ECHO poker or Blackjack felt.

- Design a Tourney set and order

- Design and construct a display stand for singles and sample sets

Completing the Bud Jones S2 mixed casino cash set and getting the relabel on my PGI solid tournament set done. Other than that, no new sets to be started until after the Claysmith plague has been exterminated from the house.

-Establish a home game
-Order my 1st set of custom chips
-Study and learn GTO
-Make it to Vegas at least once
