Howdy, I have been stalking the site for awhile, I have been thinking of upgrading my cash game chips, so stalking for ideas.

now I have to decide if I want to buy chips and create a set or just go ahead and do custom chips

Thanks for having me and look forward to learning more about my addiction and time waste

Welcome. Get samples of any chips you are considering before pulling the trigger. You could always buy some existing casino chips and have custom labels made for them, which will allow you to use any base chip that you like for any denomination. Good luck

Welcome and bad ass avitar sir!! As may will say get samples before making the plunge, many different types of chips to get customs made out of... if @BGinGA still has samples of "The Prestige" group buy going available. I recommend checking out some 43mm Sunfly chips, they are really nice chips and very reasonably priced... if you are a clay snob like many of us... saddly CPC is the only way to get custom clay anymore and they truly make a fantastic product but get ready for the price. Several options from cheap Chinese... (like our Scrub Donkey chips) to nice american made ceramics from @BR Pro Poker and @ABC Gifts and Awards, which also have many options for semi custom ceramics as well... that could save you some money.

Feel free to reach out by PM or respond if theres anything we can help with. I'm sure you will find many members are more than willing to help! Also Texas is home for my of our Veteran members, these guys have been collecting for years. If you can find one close enough to home I'm sure they would be willing to show you some different types of chips! No matter what enjoy your chipping journey and remember we love pictures!!

These are some examples of the Sunfly chips I spoke of! Really cool stuff, extremely durable and great feel! Also standard chips are 39mm so the 43mm are oversized and all your players will probably love them as well!

I am currently ordering my first set of Sun-Flys in a group buy the chips are called Midnight Casino ... if you would like to check those out!

Welcome! As suggested, get as many samples as you can. I've bought 5-6 sample sets, and had several members send me loaner chips to evaluate.

Have you narrowed it down any? High end real clays? Nice ceramics? Cheaper Ceramics? China Clay? Sluggos? (hopefully not :D ) Although a few of them are pretty decent.

WOW, what a great 1st day on the forum

I have someone letting me borrow a few different sample sets to help me make up my mind on what I want

Learned how to upgrade my portable folding table

Found out I need to purchase an Apache case to carry my chips and might as well purchase a 2nd one so when I do get my new chips I will have something for those

and I just sent a message saying I would buy 10 Matsui Chip trays

Yep, good new addiction, going well so far
