i have these im looking at . been in the works for a while just never got around to actually finishing them up.

the denoms don't match the order of inlays but im still working on them!

10c- dayglo green / dayglo yellow
25c- canary/ retro blue
1$- dayglo peacock/ dayglo peach

$5 haven't decided yet on if im going
retro red and off white
retro lav and charcoal

$25 retro green and grey

$100- black and white or pink and white haven't decided

$500- haven't decided on if im using dayglo tiger or day arc yellow.

still need work on the back side which will be like the $25 chip with shaded background matching edge spot color.

i included 2 scans / my first scan is edge spots i really like / scan 2 is a progression edge spot which im not sold on it. i do like the color edge combo on the lav and red though!

shoot me your opinons . love to hear from you if you have done any of these color combos and the results if you will include in your post that would be awesome. as i have 3 full sample sets and 1 is always a different shade sometimes all 3. thanks.

I’m confused by the dancing edge spots. I see four spot patterns. Perhaps you could group them? One for fracs, one for single digit, double digit, and triple digit amounts? Or perhaps hit the level 1s sequentially: 114, 112, 214, 212, 314, 312, then 414 or 3TRIM?

The white/white edge spots & black spot/black base throw me. The grey/green & peach/black seem off.

newest rework. still a work in progress but ive managed to narrow it down some.

Only ? is anyone have those colors in a barrel that i could buy to see if i like the edges?

dont mind the 2 dimes i cant decide if i want to get rid of the $5 and insert a dime color there.

You won't need both a nickel and a dime.
Personally, I also don't like photos on chips. Stylized art of the object(s) you're representing look better.
I'm no graphic designer and now way can I make a oil well in art lolol

Any guys on here do it ?

For what it’s worth, you may not care for my input, but I feel like the edge spots are very second to your overall “focus” of your chips. I know I may have vastly different tastes, but I think a full picture of the oil artwork on a chip looks a bit undeveloped. There are so many amazing designs out there, and I think if you can take your same design and just tweak it to be more focused, you’ll love it so much more, and then the edge spots/chip colors will become the icing on the cake. Here are my new custom designs, and a few others I’ve used for inspiration! It’s not that you have to love these designs, but the way each chip is so focused is what I genuinely enjoy (everything on the chip “belongs there”)

Wades parts and Supplies is my business the oil wells are ones we setup and sell. Thats why I'd prefer to keep them on there.
The light green and blue chips are my absolute favorite with the Wade's logo. I do have a different logo instead of the picture of wells. I'll upload it later .

Yeah I agree the light green and blue ones look great! Again I may be off base, but what if you took the green oil rig, put it in the background, put the Wades Parts and Supplies in the foreground and had the denomination at the bottom. Then you could have the same set up for each chip and just fiddle with the actual oil rig/color! I’m bored so I may just play around with the chip inlay if you’re okay with it!

Go ahead.

You may think these look foolish, but I am in no way a graphic designer, and use nothing but free software! I'm sure J5 or some others could do an amazing job. Just hoping this might help give another possible design avenue to head down!
