Howdy from Dallas! I've been playing poker for more than 20 years. I've thought about having a custom CPC set made for years, but now I've finally started the process. I'm hear to learn, get some ideas, and maybe seek the help of the seasoned members in designing my set. My two boys are also involved, and we're doing it as a fun family project. Thanks for having me!

Welcome. Steps to creating a CPC custom set.

1. Buy a CPC color sample set. Do nothing else until this happens.

1a. Learn about oiling chips. There is a huge difference between oiled and unoiled CPCs.

2. Become familiar with the CPC chips designer.

3. Review custom built sets to see what you like/don't like. The Chip DB is a great place to start.

4. Once you start to get an idea of what you want and have some preliminary mockups, start a thread about them and get user feedback.

5. Place order with CPC.

6. Delete your account here then block this site. Else you will become "One of Us" and find yourself fives years from now buying your 17th cash set even though you host once a month.

Done! Also got the molds sample set. Trying to make some initial decisions based on the colors/molds.

A buddy of mine has had a set for at least 15 years, and I've always wondered if there was something to do in terms of oil or some other maintenance.

Working on that now!

I should probably skip all the rest of the steps and get to this one right away!

I soooo wish my inspiration would come to me for my own eventual CPC set. MarquetteMonkey's Story Hill set is the greatest ever (my personal opinion). I would like my set to be as priceless to me as I'm sure the Story Hill set is to him.

I bid you welcome and good luck with your design & set - being done with the help of your sons should make it special and a family treasure that will live on forever.

I will add: do not rush your cpc set. Take your time - it will take time for the mold you choose to come into rotation, sometimes up to a year if you just missed it so you can be waiting a long time. Don’t compromise your first choice to try and speed up the process. And take your time getting the chip designs and inlay designs exactly how you want - ask for feedback paying attention to issues like dirty stacks etc.

A CPC set is for life, not just for Christmas!

I’m new myself. Joined last Thursday, Bought my first Real BCC GCR Tournament set in less than a week. They are not lying, it‘s CRAZY ADDICTIVE LOL. Welcome to HEAVEN.
