I've been playing poker for a few years in college, but have always either played cash games at local casinos/home games with shitty off-the-shelf chips from Walmart. Have been looking at getting a nicer set/sets of ceramic/clay chips and have narrowed it down to clay Milano chips for the cash games I run. In that regard, I'm fairly happy with the decision.

However, I do also want to splurge on a somewhat modern-looking/sleek set of ceramic chips to run tourneys with but have struggled to find designs. I have heard good things about the venerati ceramics, but am not completely sold on the design. A good reference for the style/look I have been https://www.amazon.com/SLOWPLAY-Ceramic-Poker-Chips-Numbered/dp/B09DFZ82V1?ref_=ast_sto_dp, but I have heard little about this brand on forums.

Curious to know if anyone has any idea where I can find similar-looking designs from reputable manufacturers & at a reasonable cost (price wise looking at ~$0.50-0.60/chip). I also like the idea of getting an EPT replica set, but the only ones I have found have been on Alibaba where I can't easily verify the quality of the manufacturer (and lead times for samples are ~1-2 months).

Any help would be much appreciated!

Have you considered Chinese cards mold? Or have you even seen all the threads yet since you are new?

We have fairly well vetted the Alibaba manufacturer and their rep Tina, who we've been working with for about two years now and who has produced at least 200,000 chips for our community.

You have the option of using one of the many designs that our resident PCF designers have come up with, or hiring one of them to do customs for you. They can literally make you a set of chips that looks however you want them to.

Here is a fairly recent group buy including both cash and tournament designs that just concluded. Justin has been running GBs for these chips every month or so for the past few months.

If you decide you would like customs, just watch the Group Buy category and new ones pop up all the time. Or you can order directly from Tina and others here can show you how to do that.

These are the customs that I had done about two years ago in one of the first cards mold GBs.

I also ran a GB for the very popular Aria's tribute chips. They are available in both a cash and a tournament design.

On the topic of the Chinese card mold, I've read a few threads that used it for their custom chips but couldn't find the specific link/contact to set up an order from the forum. Not sure if this is it: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Cards-mould-Ceramic-Poker-Chips-custom_1600090240071.html.

Also, is there a thread(s) or member you recommend going to to get more information on how to work with Tina? I'll keep my eye out for the next round of GBs, but I might also set up a solo order.

Luke @lrapley has done a couple of GBs for custom art work. You can check with him here to see if he's planning another one,

This is probably the most active thread where a lot of discussions take place and info is shared.

You might also reach out to @QuadNines I believe he recently placed a direct order with Tina. I'm sure he could provide some assistance, or point you to whomever helped him out.

Good luck.

@echudov - received my order from Tina exactly 3 weeks from the day I placed it. You will find Tina to be very accommodating, but as you would imagine, her english is not the best, and email response times are lengthy (1+ days) due to time differences, etc. - so you are better to seek answers to basic questions from PCF members While most questions have already likely been answered somewhere here, they may be buried down in a thread... I am glad to help however I can - just PM me if you'd like... Matt
