Hey everyone!

I'm excited to be here. Been lurking for a little after recently getting into poker and discovering the chip wormhole. Bless my wife who is currently putting up with the random sets of sample chips around the house. Looking forward to the next sample set inbound (Royals from Apache...).

You’re doing it right by starting with samples. Royals are really good for the price. I used to own a set, haven’t ruled out getting some again for a big tourney set, although blanks this time and get some custom labels.

What else have you been looking in to?

Including the Royals, I started with samples of the following:

-Slowplay ceramics (have)
-BR Pro ceramics (have)
-Apache Dunes (in mail)
-BBO ceramics (in mail)

The group I started playing with does $1/$1 NLHE. Hosts bounce around a little but our main one has BR Pros and I do like those. I really like that format and think a set of 600 would be a good start. Looking to start mid-tier and maybe one day in the future, when I don't have young kids, upgrade to something nicer.
