Good morning everyone! I’ve been lurking the forum for a little while now and I figure it’s time to step up and join. I finally broke down and got my first table so I can start hosting a monthly game. I already play in multiple weekly games, but running my own game has always been the goal.

I’m looking forward to seeing just how badly I can upset the wife with what I KNOW will become a very expensive hobby! I already have a decent sized Chipco cash game set on the way and I’m already looking to add to it...I fear I’m doomed!

Welcome Byron! If your looking for playable cash and tournament sets you're in the right place. Chipcos are nice but I like clay. You can blow a lot of money here but if you know what you want and spend some time investigating you can find some nice chips and not spend a fortune. The 43mm Project thread is going now for customized Majestic clay chips. You might want to look at this because they will be nice chips and reasonable priced.

I agree...a nice set of clays is great and I will have a few before all is said and done. But, when you take into consideration the crowd that will frequent my game and the stakes we’ll play for, putting out a set of chips worth more than what’s in the cash box seems a little overkill to me. At .30 cents apiece shipped, my casino Chipcos will be a nice upgrade from the slugged plastic chips that are used at the other games I frequent. Best part is my ocd won’t kick in too much if one gets lost/destroyed/chipped etc since they’re already in used condition. Something about a used casino chip in a home game appeals to me! But yes, I WILL have a nice set of casino clays eventually.

Welcome! I'm out here on the coast down in Wilmington myself, always nice to see some other people from our neck of the woods on here.
