What's up! Floridian here recently getting back into poker after a somewhat moderate hiatus. I was looking for a custom poker chip set to give to myself for Christmas and stumbled across this forum. It's absolutely INSANE how much content is on here.

I have so many questions and I'm sure I'll find answers as I mull around but I'll go ahead and post them here too in case there's any helpful peoples reading this:

Is there any sort of stickied post that lists and reviews the various websites that sell custom chip sets? Is it easier/cheaper/better to find a nice used set and relabel? I'm pretty handy with GIMP and would love to take a stab at making custom labels, what's the best website to print them out once I have a design?

Looking forward to poking around and making my first custom set a badass one! Thanks to the mods/admins for maintaining this awesome forum!

Welcome to the table.

If you have an unlimited budget and want compression molded clay customs, Classic Poker Chips (CPC) FTW.

More modest custom options would be ceramics & cards mold or no/plain mold.

Whatever you do, make sure to get samples.

welcome to PCF. See the vendors for many of these items. Classic Poker Chips is the best option for full custom compressed clay but will take awhile. Gear has great labels if you go the relabeling route but that requires a lot of work removing the old labels unless you out source the work to one of these vendors:

If you don’t want compressed clay and can live with china clays, ceramics, etc. there are many options out there. Use the search button, take your time and as many will tell you, get samples. Also see this thread:

Oh that's interesting. I assumed removing the labels would be the easiest part. Just soak them in a solvent or something. I guess that's not an option for whatever reason and they have to be dry scraped off? I definitely wouldn't want to put a new label on the old one so maybe the custom route is the way to go.

Also, do research before you start dropping chips into random solvents…lol. Good way to lose a chip forever. Also, not all clay chips are the same, chemicals that might work great on a Paulson may damage/destroy a CPC/ASM or TRK. Use the search function and you will find an incredible wealth of information on pretty much any questions you may have.
