CONTINENTAL CARD & GAME COMPANY ANNOUNCES
NEW KEY WEST CHIP PRICES FOR 2014

I hate having to make an announcement like this on Poker Chip Forum, but our Key West chip prices are directly linked to the cost to purchase new chips, and other costs, which have all increased in the past year. (See below.)

Poker Chip Forum members will always get our best price possible price here on PCF.

Our new chip prices, effective immediately, will be:

12-chip sample sets
Retail: $18 ($1.50 per chip)
PCF price using Paypal: $17
PCF price paid by check: $16.20

Key West denominated casino chips
Retail: $1.49
PFC price using Paypal: $1.39
PFC price paid by check: $1.35

Key West solid roulette chips
Retail: $1.15
PFC price paid by Paypal: $1.15 each
PCF price paid by check: $1.10
REASONS FOR THE INCREASE

How we determine our costs and prices

Our chip cost is simply the average cost of all the new, mint, untouched chips we have in stock, bought at different times in the past, when prices were lower. That means our average chip price can be less than a full custom chip. We've also ordered lots of new chips at today's price, so our average cost per chip has gone up.

Paypal

Most of our customers never added for Paypal fees, and we really appreciate those who did. But Paypal is killing us, and adds an average of about four cents per chip to the our cost when the customer doesn't add the fees. Now, we simply figured that four cents into our price, and offer it back to you if you want to pay by check or money order.

Other cost increases:

In the past year, the cost of shipping, boxes, tape, bubble wrap, labels, and just about everything else has gone up. I know you already feel that in your own budget.

KEY WEST AS A SEMI-CUSTOM HIGH-END CHIP

Key West chips are really a semi-custom chip, and I've always thought they shouldn't cost as much as a full-custom clay casino chip. That's why we're offering them for 23 cents per chip less than a full-custom chip. They're ideal for the person who likes this classic design anyway, or the person who has a large collection of Key Wests, or always wanted one.

The good folks now running Classic Poker Chips are making lots of new chips for us, with more planned for the future. Even in the first few days, they've been amazing to work with, and I look forward to lots of good things.

We'll have some really nice surprises for Key West fans in the future, and I'm working on specials and sales for PCF members.

I welcome comments here, or in a PM, from anyone with questions or concerns, at any time. And to make sure you're getting the best possible price on anything Key West, please contact me by PM here, or e-mail dennis@keywestresortcasino.com.
