Hey there. I'm new to PCF, but have browsed over the years when looking for new chip sets. I've gone from Nexgens many years ago to Milanos, and due to life I moved away from my regular games five years ago and I'm finally in a position (with excited budding poker buddies!) to start my home game up again. I dug through everything looking for my old Milano set and came up empty, so either they were lost in some move or all the renovations we've been doing or one of my kid's more questionable friends stole them. Either way it's a good excuse for something new!

I moved to the southeast coast, so it's fitting I get something a little more tropical in color. I opted for Majestic blanks that I'll make custom labels for. Also built a new tabletop. Once I get this group more dedicated I'm eyeing a custom set of custom true clay with inlays.

Pretty pumped for my new group, first game is tomorrow night.

Welcome to PCF from SC! Carolina Beach is one of our favorite areas. Check out the Fat Pelican when you visit ..

We have a home near topsail and visit throughout the year. Maybe I’ll stop by one of your games sometime

Welcome to PCF!

My brother lives in Wilmington so hit me up if you get a game off the ground. He's newer to the area and like to play occasionally.

Welp, looks like I’m officially knee deep into this rabbit hole now, and sinking in more by the day. I can’t believe it’s never occurred to me to harvest casino chips before. I love that idea and I can’t wait to get some racks off $1’s to start my collection next time I’m in Vegas. Once you realize the cost of good clay chips it’s really not hard to imagine harvesting a good set of $5’s to get a good low stakes game going. I’m going to spend a lot of time between now and then putting my future mixed set.

I wondered if you could go really cheap and find enough variation in harvestable $1’s or $2’s to get 3-4 denominations that would look good together via murder/relabel. I like non-traditional color schemes so maybe I can figure that out.
