I have been hosting nickel, dime quarter ring dealers choice games for many years because that's what my group played. We used the Walmart special chip, because it was easier than rolled coins lol.

Mid 2019 the groups dynamics changed and we went to Holdem and PLO. I was dumb to the vast assortment of chips available so I found the Brybelly 15 grams coin inlay chips online. I bought a set for 10 person tourneyment and a set for cash.

In 2020 as my game grew I added on to the cash set. Now as I approach 30 players once a month i am torn between starting over with another set Vs. adding on to what I already have. We normally play 0.50/1.00, 1/1 or 1/3. I also have a second game where we play 2/5.

hitting stakes for 2/4 even 1/2 I would want somethign more secure than a mass produced chip. something custom would be best but at least something harder to get like a used casino set

I have thought about that also. I am considering doing something with custome printing for the 2/5 game. My only hesitation is that the 2/5 game is for the most part a closed game, these guys and I have been known each other for a min of 15 years. Below the 1/3 is open to new comers and for a game that size custom chips are out of my budget

I don't know what your budget is, but I wanted something more secure and definitively MINE for my home games. Instead of going full custom, I went to our good friends at @BR Pro Poker and went semi-custom.

I encourage you to check out the options and pricing at www.brpropoker.com before you discount any thoughts on customization - especially where security is a concern.

Hello and welcome!

With the stakes you play, I think you deserve some better chips both for the esthetic value and for your game security.

If you're interested, I can discuss some inexpensive options for you for multi-table cash - feel free to PM.

let us know your budget we may be able to help.

allforcharoty above could probably hook you up with some bud jones chips at a reasonable price, we are having group buys for ceramic chips at around .30/chip a lot around here. unless you spefically want custom clays or paulsons I bet yoi can find something custom or at least rare enough to be safe in your budget.

Welcome to the forum! I definitely agree with getting something more unique or not mass produced. I would want a bit of security if the stakes are going up! Definitely recommend @BR Pro Poker / @ABC Gifts and Awards.
Also, give @SUN-FLY Poker Chips a look as these can be great options as well.
We also have a "custom" group buy for china made ceramics going on some where, but that would require a theme, design, etc. Not a fast route but very affordable and the chips are decent quality
