Hey new guy here with a curious question and hoping someone can help. I bought a Dunes chip off eBay recently and was wondering how to tell if its a replica chip or authentic to the casino itself?

Any help or advice would be great I have a lot of interest in the history of Las Vegas and vintage items from its glory days.

its real.

The replica chips either do not have the shaped inlay (that design is called "hub")... or they specifically state Commemorative on the label.

China Clay commemorative version 1 (says commemorative and shows years)

Plastic commemorative with sticker and printed shaped inlay (says commemorative and shows years). Very slippery.

China Clay version 2 (does not say commemorative, but does show years) Available from apachepokerchips.com

Wow that's impressive. Those all real?

The $5, $20 and $100 are real Dunes chips. The 25c are real, but from a casino called Joker's Wild in Henderson, NV. The $1 are a Paulson fantasy chip called Scandia. The 5c are a custom chip that one of the forum members had made.

Those are really nice.
