Hi all!
I figured I'd finally register for the site and introduce myself. I found out about PCF earlier this year from John Hobby's YouTube videos. I wanted to start getting together regular with friends and poker is a great excuse (good reason to drink, too).
Right now I have 3 sets:
Monte Carlo's - I thought it was one of the nicer looking plastic/cheap chips. Great for taking around outside the house/camping and not having to worry if one gets lost. Also seemed to be a good starter set to test the waters with.
BBO Casino de Paris - Saw "The Mint" set on John's YT and ordered BBO's sample set. It's a ceramic chip and I really liked the bright designs. "The Mint" set just looks darker and denominations kind of get lost in the details.
BCC Vineyard Commemorative - Wife found 1499 of these at a resale shop near us. They don't look like they've ever been used, so it was a great find. Too bad one of the $10s was missing, though. I'm not a huge fan of the oversized inlays so I'm hoping to resell and eventually buy something from CPC.
Some of my other hobbies are RC cars, old cars/sports cars, and firearms - all equally as addictive and costly it seems.
