I’m not sure if this is a good deal or not. They’ve been for sale for a couple of years now at $1,000. This is the first price drop I’ve seen.

He's been at $850 before. I have seen it, obviously without bites.
IMHO, this is not a bad deal at all. There's not much of a breakdown because it's just two racks of every denomination, but you can make it work for a 2-table tourney (or 3 tables of 8). I'm quite sure the chip quality is good because it's a nice BCC. If you will use it, go for it. If you plan to sell it soon, maybe pass.

About a year ago I offered $750 for this set, seller wasn’t interested.

I always liked these chips and I think this is a good price. Not crazy about the breakdown and I don’t need a tourney set. Racks and case included too.
