I've decided on going with new labels from @Gear for my ASM set.

Was hoping to get help on the design. This set is strictly for a cash game. I'm looking
for a simple design with denoms being very easy to read (similar to the numbers on Milano / Bellagio chips). The denoms will be .50, 1.00, 5.00 and 10.00.

The inlays will be circular (1 inch).

Thanks in advance for any input on this.

For @Gear, do you need print-ready .ai files, or can you give him vector concept art and have him handle the color conversion? If the second option is available, you can get a lot done in Inkscape, which is free and pretty easy to use.

As far as your denoms, unless you have a really good reason not to, you should go with .25 / 1 / 5 / 20(25).

Thanks. I will check out Inkscape.

I have no idea what I need to provide to @Gear. I have an idea of what I want them to look like, that's about it.

(I have no interest in .25 or 20(25) denoms)

What's your idea?

Very, very simple.

I just want them to have fairly large denoms on them (again, similar to a Milano or Bellagio chip) so they are easy to read. The inlay would be 1 inch, circular.

Just saw your other thread with the pictures of the chips.

Nice chips, love that Roman mold.

So you want to loose the text and the shamrock and just go with a large denom, or keep the shamrock and text AND increase the denom?

On a side note: I had no idea the label on an ASM was just a sticker and not compressed into the chip. Learn something new every day here!

I want to lose the current text and shamrock and increase the denom. I may want to have some text (at the bottom?) simply denoting the denom (Fifty Cents, One Dollar, etc). Again, very simple and easy to read.

Yes, the ASM inlay is a laminated sticker. They are easy to pop off with an exacto knife.

Real inlayed ASM/CPC chips have paper labels that are compressed into the chip during final stage of manufacturing...they are a part of the actual chip. Please don't confuse these with ordinary sticker labels that someone can just stick on the chip.

I originally bought my chips from here:

This was about 9 or 10 years ago. Back then the inlays were laminated and glued on.

Simple can be a good thing!

I was confused by Luckbox's post (#23) in this related thread: http://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/how-difficult-is-to-re-label-asm-chips.10805/

As far as I know, they do use a dab of glue to stick the label down prior to final compression. Then the chip is compressed with the mold and label becoming a true inlay at this point. It becomes a part of the chip but you can still use a knife to pry up the inlay if so desired.

Yes. That sounds correct.

I can see a small dab of dried glue when I pop them off
