NAGB....WTF (1 Viewer)

“loss of consortium”
There’s a prescription available to help with that!

This purchase was by invitation because there was a cap on the total quantity of chips and the organizer could not fund a purchase large enough by himself. I prefer to think of it as a consortium rather than NAGB.
I was the primary person who often referred to the Star chip acquisition as a 'private business venture', and not a 'group buy' in the conventional sense as commonly used on PCF. It involved an overseas corporation that was set up to provide gaming services and materials for cruise ships.

The BTP buy was completely different, in terms of organization, scope and scale (ordered through a casino, but still private). The SB buy consisted of just a single private party.

The use of the term NAGB became popular with some to describe all three, but really was only mockingly directed at the Star chips initially.

The BTP and SB projects were halted by GPI upon discovery by higher-ups. The Star chip venture was voluntarily abandoned by the organizer.

Contrary to popular belief NAGB actually stands for "not a gangbang".

The distinction here is that it was a private party, with a cap on the number of entries and was invite only. Hence, NAGB.

There's no formal definition on what is or is not a group buy on this site. Ultimately, it's a group buy if the organizer says it is, and it isn't if the organizer says it isn't.

Not A Group Buy. There is a debate that these activities we are referring to should not be called "group" buy because they do not include everyone and are not publicly open as a group. Hence NOT A GB. There is tension behind the subject because of what went down with the groups and who was included and left out in some of the past/original NAGBs/GBs. The appropriate name for these things we are talking about is "direct buy" IMO because whether or not it was organized as a group or not is irrelevant and the relevant characteristic is that they were bought directly from Paulson.
All of mine are group buys.

so, normally a group buy, unless it’s not a group buy, more a North American group buy limited to non-average girls & boys purchasing new & authentic GPI boats/birds/beaches

Can someone who's not constantly grumpy tell me what NAGB stands for? I'm assuming this is a group buy and probably just need to know what the NA means, but I have no idea.

Also, if someone responds and tells me to use the search function I'll probably snap. Not sifting through 4 billion mentions of NAGB sorry not sorry.

K thanks.

Lol! I’ve been searching forever and never found the answer until now. Don’t want to look like a noob.
