Hi,

Just wanted to share the breakdown I've choosen for my latest tournament set.

T25 x 100 + 5 spares
T100 x 100 + 5 spares
T500 x 60 + 5 spares
T1000 x 80 + 5 spares
T5000 x 20 + 5 spares
Bounty x 10 + 5 spares

My main usage will be 8-max T20,000 freezeout with 12/12/7/10/1 starting stacks on opening blinds 25-50 (400 BB).
Color-up of 25, 100 and 500 with 5000.

But this can also cover other situations :

8-max, 1 re-entry T10,000 on opening blinds 25-50 (200 BB) or 25-25 (400 BB)
Stacks : 12/12/7/5
Re-entry : 5 x 1000 + 1 x 5000
Color-up of 25 and 100 with remaining 1000 and then 5000.
Color-up of 500 with 5000

10 players T15,000 freezeout on starting blinds 25-50 (300 BB)
Stacks : 5 x 12/12/5/6/1 and 5 x 8/8/6/6/1
Color-up of 25 and 100 with 1000
Color-up of 500 with 5000

10 players T7500 on starting blinds 25-25 (300BB) with one re-entry
Stacks : 5 x 12/12/4/4 and 5 x 8/8/5/4
Re-entry : 1 x 500 + 2 x 1000 + 1 x 5000
Color-up of 25 and 100 with 1000
Color-up of 500 with 5000

12 players (2 tables of 6-max) 7500 freezeout on opening blinds 25-25 (300 BB)
Stacks : 8/8/5/4
Color-up of 25 and 100 with 1000
Color-up of 500 with 5000

12 players (2 tables of 6-max) 4000 on opening blinds 25-25 (160 BB) with one re-entry
Stacks : 8/8/4/1
Re-entry : 4 x 1000
Color-up of 25 and 100 with 1000
Color-up of 500 with 5000

I found this tiny (400 chips or even 360 if you don't play bounties and don't want spares) very useful, quite flexible and then wanted to share it.

Structure :
(25-25)
25-50
25-75
50-100
75-150 // after this level, end re-entry period for T4000
100-200 // after this level, end re-entry period for T7500
150-300 // after this level, end of re-entry period for T10,000 and color-up T25
200-400
300-600
400-800
600-1200
800-1600 // after this level, color-up T100
1000-2000
1500-3000 // after this level color-up T500
2000-4000
3000-6000
4000-8000
6000-12000
8000-16000

Intermediate levels that can be added for an even slower blinds progression (can be useful for T7500 and T4000 tournaments) :
125-250
250-500 // color-up of T25 shall then be moved after this level
500-1000
1200-2400 // color-up of T100 shall then be moved after this level
2500-5000 // color-up of T500 shall then be moved after this level
5000-10,000

Some insights on expected tournament duration :

8 players T20,000 freezeout ends around level 4000-8000
8 players T10,000 ends around level 2000-4000 if no re-entry
8 players T10,000 ends around level 3000-6000 if 4 re-entries
8 players T10,000 ends around level 4000-8000 if more than 4 re-entries

10 players T20,000 freezeout ends around level 4000-8000
10 players T7500 ends around level 2000-4000 if no re-entry
10 players T7500 ends around level 3000-6000 if 5 re-entries
10 players T7500 ends around level 4000-8000 if more than 5 re-entries

12 players T7500 freezeout ends around level 2000-4000 or 3000-6000
12 players T4000 ends around level 1500-3000 if no re-entry
12 players T4000 ends around level 1500-3000 or 2000-4000 if 6 re-entries
12 players T4000 ends around level 2000-4000 or 3000-6000 if more than 6 re-entries

Would this break down work for a high roller denom set?

I love how versatile this chip count could be, I would just love to make the chip values higher.

25K / 100K / 500K / 1M / 5M --> done ;-)

I'll check tomorrow if it's possible to have such a tiny and flexible breakdown for T100, T500 or T1000 based sets.

Bounty x 10 + 5 spares

--> total = 400 chips

8 players , T400,000 on 500-1000 (400 BB) : 6/12/12/9/1

10 players , T300,000 on 500-1000 (300 BB) : 4/8/8/6/1

12 players , T150,000 on 500-500 (300 BB) : 4/8/8/4

To be cross-checked but I think it does the trick.

Color-up 500 with 5000
Color-up 1000 with 25,000
Color-up 5000 with 100,000

Could I ask how a blind structure using these denoms should be structured for 100k starting stack using 20min blind levels? What I would actually be doing is using $0.50, $1.00, $5.00, $25.00 denoms but the ratio is the same. Thank you :)

T500-base, T100K stacks (10/10/7/2) = 200BB with 500/500 opening blinds
Using T150K starting stacks (10/10/7/4, 300BB) adds about 1/2-hour to overall times below. Using T200K starting stacks (10/10/7/6, 400BB) adds about an hour.

25-minute levels = 4.0-4.5 hours plus breaks:
