Been a member for exactly one full year now. I remember the first time I stumbled across this forum I was in the market for chips and was trying to find the best I could buy. I ended up buying some Lucky Dragon ceramics from ABC and loved them. My players loved them too. One of the first Paulson sets I fell in love with were PNY chips. Saw them on here with their big glorious inlays and thought, wow those are some sexy chips. Saw the prices and thought, wow... those are not for me! I was bewildered by what people were paying for chips. I thought, man my chips get the job done, doesn’t make sense buying anything more expensive than a couple hundred. Lmao, that went right out the window. Fast forward to today and 4000 various Paulson chips later and here I am. A PROUD scrub donkey with chips I can’t even turn in for face value.

I’ve been in a few hobbies forums. Motorcycles, car tuning, expensive sneakers, magic the gathering etc etc. I can say without a doubt this forum has been my favorite and 90% of the people I’ve interacted with in here are some of the coolest internet people I’ve ever met. Other hobbies are filled with tire kickers, scammers, and lames. This place is full of authentic, warm bodied people who I would love to share a drink and a poker table with. My goal is to make it out to a couple meets over the next couple years. Not only have I become a pretty rad chipper, but from the generosity and kindness of others I’ve also become a better person from this hobby and forum. That right there is +EV. Big thanks to everyone I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with. I’ve made some good friends on here and I hope to meet as many of you that I can. Also a big thank you to Tommy and the mods for creating such a great environment for us scrub donkeys. What’s a post without some pr0n? Here are my current three favorite sets. #1 in the middle, #2 on the left and #3 on the right (podium style)!

#1 my custom solids. Very rewarding to put together and the set rally embodies everything I love about chips.
#2 my mixed set. My first plunge into the THC world. Hell of a first THC set too lol. Turned me into a pure degenerate.
#3 PNYS! Like I said, love at first sight when I saw them a year ago. What a nice one year anniversary gift to myself!

Congrats on your 1st year, and the PNYs!
I remember when I first started chipping, and found the PNYs on eBay! I really liked them, but thought I would never spend that much on chips. Bought some cheap plastic chips, instead. Didn’t take me long to resell those cheap chips, and start buying PNYs and other fine clay chips. The addiction is real!

Glad the PNYs caught someone else's eyes as well. Large beautifully designed inlays, great color and edge spots. What's not to love!? Every needs to own PNYs to be in the cool kids club :).

My OCD talking but I would have to have an even number of racks of each set ;)

So you need at least one more rack for each set!!
Great chips...congrats!!

It’s been fun watching you, @Ben8257 , Brie @FordPickup92 and Jeffrey @BarrieJ3 over the last year. Your passion to learn and purchase has been nothing but awe-inspiring. It has been even more fun working with you and dealing with you. Here’s to another year!
Cheers, Steve! Been a pleasure. Can't wait to see your latest CPC set, need a sample for sure :nailbite:

My shelf/cabinet only allows me to stack 7 high, so all my sets are 700 haha. Turns out to be a good number breakdown wise too!

Mohammed Congratulations on your first year brother!! Brie and I definitely look forward to a meet up in the near future, you have been nothing but kind to the both of us as we have also started our adventure here around the same time! There are always a few bad apples in any forum... people that live negativity, definitely not what this is all about and you sir have never had anything but kind encouragement for others! Your generosity has been amazing, and it's those values that help keep this ever growing community strong! @FordPickup92 and I proudly display our Bean Town member buttons and look forward to many more amazing years not only as forum members but to the many friendships we have made already and will continue to procure! Remember without members like you this is just a website, I look forward to seeing what the future holds for you as we continue this crazy hobby and chipping journey. I hope to be a part of it and help in any way I can!

Always your chippin buddy Ben

Nice job! I know exactly what you went through! Growing pains in this hobby can quickly readjust the word "reasonable!"

There's nothing like a relabel set, mixed casino set, and a single casino set in your collection! Covers all bases!

You and Brie are first class chippers and even more importantly first class people! Can’t wait to meet you guys and spread some chips on felt! You guys pick a set and I’ll bring it!

Any 12 pack too ;)

Cheers!

The mixed set really opened the floodgates man lol. After putting that together the word budget was no longer in my vocabulary it was all about MOAR CHIPS!

Happy cake day. I love that somehow I’m roped into the same stratasphere as some of the chippers joined around the same time as me.

The way that you walked in here and just blew shit to smithereens (I mean who comes up with the customs and semi customs you did in months?), I’d actually love to see what you were working with sneakers and MtG wise.

Anywho, good on ya. Looking forward to next year of projects!

Everyone on here had such cool shit so I had to keep up lol. I got lucky that I had my custom table ordered and was able to theme chips around it.

Here's some of my shoes and MTG. About 80% of my magic stuff went to funding poker as I play very sparingly these days. I probably had close to 80 pairs of high end kicks, some worth up to 1200 a pair.

Congrats on everything man. My only comment is: as a former recovering magicthegatheringoholic, I never thought I’d see a sneaker head that also plays MTG! Phenomenal!!

My first love for sure. Was collecting and wearing since the first grade man. Started with Allen Iverson's way back when. Had some T Mac's, Jordans, Gloves, etc. Outgrew it a few years backs but I still love rocking something nice out of my closet which has some gems that I'll never sell.
