I've posted a bunch of pictures of this set in its various stages in other threads but wanted to post a few final pics of the completed set. I'm considering this done, at least for now. Time to just sit back, get them into play, and enjoy them. Thanks to all who helped me along the way (too many to name).

All near mint to mint/chalky with maybe the exception of the quarters which are still excellent+ (cherry picked from ~240).

Love the set. I've followed your exploits with this set since I joined, and even looked back further. Fun stuff.
Talk to me about SIX racks of $1's.
Do you just love having all those chips? Or do you actually get them all into play? Even in a .25/.50 game that doesn't play huge, I still like getting $5s out on the table for rebuys. I imagine you're handing out barrels of $1's all night?

Looks fantastic. I think there is really something to say for mixed sets from both a design and collecting point of view.

For design it is just really, really pleasant and interesting to look at. I am really new to this but it strikes me that from a set building perspective that instead of just pursuing a set along access X with X being a specific Casino you will have to settle for the best price and best condition available. With a mixed set you add axis Y and Z where you can be more selective on both price and condition as well.

I actually have 700 x $1's and will eventually add another 100 for 800 total. I have an 8 seat octagon table so I'm limited to 8 players, which is fine because I usually only play cash games and fixed-limit at that. And that's the real reason for all of the $1's. 100 chip starting stacks per player for $2/$4 limit. As for NL, my ideal breakdown is actually 100/300/200/100 (or 80/20) but I included an extra 300 $1's in the pics to give me an even 1,000 chips (not sure why).

I agree. For me specifically, putting a mixed set together has allowed me to build this set 1 barrel and 1 rack at a time which helps from a budget perspective. Also, you don't have to worry about not being able to find that last denomination or two of a specific casino. You can pick and choose the best denoms from different casinos, gives you more options and flexibility, and you can swap things in and out over time as you find new chips you like even better. Building this set has been a lot of fun and it went through many variations.
