After 8 long hard months my new business venture has gone live.

Predominantly aimed at ex-pat Brits. www.britsnaks.uk offers British chocolate and candy delivered anywhere in the world for a nominal fee.

Can I ask fellow PCF members to like my FB page and to share it with any Brits they know. As a startup your help is very much appreciated, in the two weeks I've been launched my business seems to have been received well but it never pays to sit on your laurels!

Also check out the video too on the website. It took me no less than 20 hours to write and finalise that 60 second script!

Much appreciated.

Just placed an order for 20 bars. Never had British candy before, figured they'd be fun to throw in the kids Christmas stockings :)

Oooch, looks like for $1 USD I get 0.65 British Pounds. Why can't you be in Canada where my dollar has extra value? :P

Also, not familiar with all your treats, tend to prefer chocolate with nuts (almonds, walnuts, cashews) or caramel. What do you recommend? (and GREAT luck with your new venture, love the website, very whimsical and colorful, really well designed)

Thanks Ronoh, in my best American accent "I'll expedite your order" I'll also throw in a few extra goodies mate. Once you and the kids have tried them let me know how they compare to American candy.

Anthony.... the British pound is always quite strong. I should be proud... I think ;)

If you want nuts it's picnic bars it also has raisins in though. Cadbury fruit and nut. Similar thing there in chocolate chunks. Aside from that try a dairy milk caramel. a boost, yorkie, double deckers are popular too here. caramac bars are tasty. Cadbury marvellous creations with jellies and popping candy is also a good choice and my personal favourite. If you've not tried Turkish delight this is good too but only order one. Crunchie is a honeycomb bar covered in chocolate. Also white chocolate milky bars are creamy. As for chewy candy. Refresher bars are good as are drumsticks, they have a unique taste. Hope this helps.

Note for the uninitiated:

A lot of the British version of things that are apparently "the same" product as we have here actually taste quite different.

It's partly the fact that they use different cocoa blends, but largely the fact that they generally use sugar over corn syrup. It's fun to compare the British and US versions of the "same thing" and see which you like better. @stratus51 , if you could make a list of "same things" with different recipes, I think it would be a popular sampler.

You're quite right. The downside to this though is our chocolate isn't as robust, It melts pretty quick. That said it's recipe makes it all the more yummy. The main reason we're in business is Brits dislike of American chocolate and the nostalgia of years gone by or just simply missing what they know from back home.
