My First Set of "non plastic" chips (got some Casino Aztar's) (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Started building this set last year and its coming along nicely. Finally used them in a tourney and a cash game a few weeks ago. Mostly Casino Aztar chips from Indiana but I have some Eureka orange chips rethemed as $1k and some cruise chip light blue chips as $10 (or 10 cents depending on the cash game blinds). Bought some generic Paulsons for $2500 and a few $5k chips and stuck Aztar labels on them too. Looking for Aztar Indiana $1k chips (secondary oversized) and some Aztar Missouri 50 cent chips if anyone has some to continue building the collection

I started cleaning the 1's ...... its amazing how nice they look afterwards.

I have a bunch more 1's, 100's, 500's and 1k's in the mail now. I am going to dump a bunch of the 2.50's and 5's because I went overboard with those (we don't need that many 5's for our cash games) and my thought of using the 2.50's as $250 for a tourney didn't work out (we didn't need them). I like my rethemed 1000's but I really like those oversized 1k's so here we go getting 30 of them. I'll have to post another pic when they are all cleaned and I finally get the rest. Having a hard time finding a bunch of the 1k's and the 50 centers

We won't stand for that kind of talk around here! No one "needs" any of this shit, but we do it anyway. Now keep what you bought (at least give it some time) and take pics of the family when they arrive.

Very nice start, I use my snappers ($2.50) Empress for my quarters in my .25/.50 cash game..

I've been using the $25's as quarters ... originally thought the 2.50's would be good, but our cash games are not big enough to need the 25's as actual $25. Then I was going to use the 2.50's as 50 cents, but I saw that Aztar Missouri had 50 cent chips, so I am hunting those down. Not the same Paulson style as Indiana, but good enough. I'll keep a small amount of 2.50's, then sell the rest.... to buy even more chips

Both the primary and secondary 1Ks are great chips, but spendy on the open market. Good luck with your search. You've got a great looking set.

8 just came in the mail and another 30 are on their way (secondary because I like the look of the green and blue stripes) .......... they are a bit pricey but I figured what the heck, I spent a bunch on this set anyways (and I got good prices from Jim on most of them last year). Plus Tim (Guiness) was commenting on how they are better than the redecaled Eurekas I am currently using. I only need the 50 cent Missouri ones and a few more to round it all out.
