I posted a few pics in the mail thread, butchered are some better pics of the set.

I worked with BR Pro Poker. My design was done when I contacted them but I knew that computer colors were different than printed colors so I worked with Kristil to get colors right.

2 months and 3 sets of prototypes later and I placed my order. Less than a month later and they are here!

I highly recommend BR Pro Poker. They were amazing from start to finish.

Those are awesome. I'm still trying to decide on my design and if I am doing clay or ceramic, this leans me toward ceramic, at least for one set.

Congrats on the set!!

Also +1 Kristil is great to work with... which is at least 1 of the reasons I will choose BR Pro Poker when I eventually get around to making a custom tourney set!

Very nice set! And I love that u went with oversized chips for the hi denominations. I used my ceramics (chipco) set for 17 years and they held up great! Great job.

I like ceramics a lot. I know that there are others on here who like ceramics....

But I know that the majority of members on here are Paulson and Classic Poker Chip or nothing at all!

Sure, I would love some custom CPCs but for the money ceramics or card molds are a great value for a great product. I went with ceramics over card molds because of the ease of going back and forth with BR Pro Poker on the colors.

I hope you have just as great of an experience if you do a set with them.

I love the 43mm for the high denominations too. It seems just a bit more classy. lol.

But the true reason I went with the 43mm for the high denominations is to prevent dirty stacks. For some reason, I have trouble differentiating between black and some purple chips. My purple probably stands out well enough for most people, but I decided to take the extra step and make the 100s and the 500s different sizes!

Totally agree! all casino use 43 mm for hi denominations chips of 1k and above. About half go with 43 mm for the 500s as well. Md live uses 43 mm 500s. They are awesome. MGM uses 39 mm 500s but doesn’t allow them to be used in the poker room because of dirty stack issues. All of my sets use 43 mm chips for 500s and above. Love it!

I agree. Would probably go with BR Pro Poker for at least one of the sets I am planning.

I go back and forth on clays and ceramics, currently have a set of Samurai Palace, and a large set of Nevada Jack Skulls. So I play with both and can't really decide on which I like better.

You like the Nevada Jack Skulls better, so just don't bother putting up a for sale post and just PM me on the Samurai set. :ROFLMAO:

These are really nice chips. I love the design on them. I love BR Poker Pros chips and the creative designs but I still feel drawn to a more classic poker chip look like yours and the king of the river they have.

I'd like to see the face a little closer. I want to see how you did the "Rain" mold with your spots. They look great!

I did this on photoshop and all I did was do text in a slightly darker color (or lighter in the case of the gray on black). If I was a better designer I would have done shadowing with a white edge on one side and black edge on the other side to simulate light and shadow.

I'm thinking of designing a custom tournament chip set. I'd say I'd say my photoshop skills are probably beginner–intermediate (I like to think intermediate, but let's not be daft). Any advice?

Find a designer (there are a few of them here on PCF) who is familiar with this. It doesn't matter how good or bad your Photoshop skills are if you can't send them your images in the formats they can use.

+1 for Kristil kicking a** too. She rocks.

Finding a designer is a good suggestion, and could be worth the money, especially considering that custom chips are expensive and it's important to get them right.

That being said, I wanted to do all my own design. My suggestion for that is, take your time and even then be aware that your design will still look somewhat amature. Details take a long time to get right. I spent about 40 hours in my chip design.... and they look cool but they still don't look completely professional.

I've done two sets with BRPro, the first one I had an idea, the second one I designed 80% of the chips. When I say designed, I had a theme and knew what I wanted, and I have some computer / design app skills, however I did none of the work on my mocks, that was all Kristil and when I was on the fence or didn't know what I really wanted or looked best, Kristil would help me there as well. Never shy about sending me countless samples to get it right.

For my 47mm 20, she suggested I go with a teal and it was perfect, I'd have never thought about it.
