I bought a barrington table on Amazon last year for $180. It had minor damage in the vinyl on the rail so I got it cheap. My group and I were playing cash games but I wanted to start having tourneys. I came here looking for some cps 25’s and 100’s to complete a set and i saw that people were doing up their barrington tables. I bought some vinyl, leds and a cloth from Tony and I ended up with a really nice table. I got the hookup on wood for the riser and the foam. This is the first time I’ve ever done anything with a poker table. I’m satisfied. We played on it last night and everyone was thought I had went out and bought a new table and when I showed them that it was the same table they couldn’t believe it lol. Shoutout to Bill @ pplpoker for answering a few questions I had and also to Tony for the cloth. He was easy to work with and the cloth is awesome! Now I have to upgrade my chips big time!

$180, wow. Think these are selling for about $450 on Amazon now. Unbelievable
I was a little off, I thought it was $180 but it was $195. The damage was incredibly minor too! Def got lucky and that’s what made it easier to spend what I did on the overhaul. It worked out.

Looks great, nice job!
Thankyou! Im so glad I did it. I’ve only got room for 10 right now and I’m already having to turn people down for this week lol.

Hello I’m looking to something like this for myself, my question is how did you make it a no longer folding table and where did you get that rail from?

Also very interested and wondering if you could post any more pictures of the transformation

Hello I’m looking to something like this for myself, my question is how did you make it a no longer folding table and where did you get that rail from?
First, the table isn’t perfect. I ran into some issues that I didn’t foresee with the playing surface not being 100% flat and level due to the table being a fold up. I just assumed that the padding would disguise any unevenness a little more but it didn’t. So in the right light u can see some ups and downs in the playing surfece but it’s not horrible. And when the lights are on like in game, u can’t tell at all. I hit it with a sander but didn’t get it good enough. All I had to do was take the rail off of the original barrington , I think there were 6 individual sections of it. I cut out an oval 3 inches wide out of 3/4” plywood 84x42 and I mounted each one of those individual sections of the armrest to the that. So that raised the rail by 3/4”. That oval I cut from the 3/4” play just serves as a riser. I wanted extra padding so I actually left the padding from the barrington table on ,just took the ugly brown vinyl off and I wrapped new 1” hd foam all around in and black whisper vinyl. So now I had a rail that was 1 piece. Again I ran my leds along the inside of the riser, see pics above. I was able to get the plywood I needed and the foam for no cost and I already got the table for a steal so I went for it and was lucky that it turned out good. Again it’s not perfect but it is a really nice little table and my players absolutely love it and say they feel like they’re at the casino lol

Man I think I actually posted pretty much all the pics of the process that I have. Here’s one of the riser I cut out of 3/4” ply. If u look closely enough you can see that we don’t do much wood working this way lol. And also one showing my shitty foam job before I wrapped it. For some reason I had trouble getting it to stick right and used a razor to cut it. Don’t do that! Use an electric knife , like the one you’d use to cut up your thanksgiving turkey. It could have been a lot better, but it was a learning process.

Holy crap that is nice! I love what you did with the LEDs there man. Sheesh, that's some talent!

I'm inspired! It looks so good!

And I'm kinda pissed that inflation has driven the price of these tables up so much in the past year. Seems like a lot of Baringtons were had for less than $300 last year and now they're $550 on Amazon. Wild!

@ectocooler Curious if there’s any chance I could get a copy of the AI file if you have it for this? I would be customizing it with my own logos and colors, but I love the base format with the betting area and the shadowed lines!

Looks great, love the light. Can you link to those strips you used to diffuse the LED lights?
