Started on building the base at the end of June, finished it this past weekend. Part of the reason the build took so long was due to the fact that I initially made the base too big to get out of my basement woodshop without removing doors. I had to go watch some old NCIS episodes to figure out how Gibbs got the boats out of his basement after he built them...

Unlike many tables these days, I made a conscious decision to NOT put cupholders in the rail. If drinks aren't on the table, they're less likely to be spilled. Besides, that's what the carts I built off of JustSomeDude's plans are for!

> Question: did you wrap the rail yourself?
Wrapped it myself, and it was two days of tedious effort. Thank God I had the foresight to buy a One+ staple gun.

> What material did you use?
Rail and table foam, Rail vinyl, speed cloth all came from Casino Supply.

I made the mistake on my first table of using a hand squeeze stapler...... never..... ever..... again...... lol....

Power tools only after that.

I think I give $30 on eBay for a Senco upholstery stapler. Later I bought 3 cases of wire staples for far less...Guess you could say I'm pretty wired ...
