Sitting Out
Although I am new to PCF, I have been collecting chips since 1987. My first "keeper" chip, and the start of what some might call an obsession was a $2.50 chip from the Atlantis, Atlantic City. As you may assume, I got it from my first ever "legal" blackjack. For the first couple of years my whole collection fit in a beer mug. Eventually I found and joined the Casino Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club (now CCA). Member 5244. When eligible I paid for the life membership option and became Life Member 5244-110.
In 2003 I moved to Las Vegas and began working at the Palms as a poker dealer. The dealing began just prior to the Moneymaker-Poker-Boom so I was an eye witness to the amazing rise and, nearly 11 years later, the crushing demise of the Palms Poker Room. That's an odyssey never to be repeated. Those were the days, for sure.
I look forward to interacting with the membership.
