Hi All,

Not sure if this has been done before (have only seen the manual forum threads) but I have started work on my motorised chip cleaner :) I could of course turn it by hand but too many hours watching "home improvement" taught be that you have to motorise everything (If only I could find a Binford motor!)

So yes. About the same speed as a rock polisher

I do remember looking at a video on rock tumblers once - I seem to remember they can run for multiple days per type of grit and there could be up to 3/4 grits used. E.g potentially weeks of tumbling with grit. This is 30 secs with no grit :) Probably OK!

Correct. and don't put any abrasive grit in there.
I am truly interested to see some before/after pics

Well I have my eye on some filthy Paulson chips to try before I put my WTHC in the there!

Chris

Don’t do it Chris! There are virtually no Paulson home chips dirty enough to need cleaning in an ultrasonic. The ultrasonic bath is more for ex-casino chips, which are truly grimy. When used on chips like the WTHC, an ultrasonic would have the effect of fading the colours, which is not what you would want to achieve.

The only cleaning home chips generally need is a quick scrub with a magic eraser, if that.

Just my 2¢.

This is awesome! Great job! I've wanted to build one of these myself for years, but I kept avoiding it because every time I clean chips, I swear I won't buy dirty chips ever again. Then, I landed the Outpost hoard and wished I had made one. Then I assumed I was done again. Then the Binions WSOP chips surfaced lol. I swear though, this time I'm done. Really  :ROFLMAO:

I love watching their videos, love seeing all the different things you can do with LEGO. I think I’m the end he was able to actually lift 100kg, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong though.
