I got into the chipping game way, way to late, because there's a chip-ton of great sets out there that I have little/not chance of landing samples of. Nonetheless, these are my most wanted - in no particular order.

Lady Luck Club by @abby99

HOF set. Just oogle & drool & wish. If I could choose just one it'd be the $20, but the whole damn set is just phenomenal.

Bi-colored quarter-pies obviously have a special place in my heart. When a HOF-nominated set is done this well on a mold to match, it's impossible for me not to crave.

Gambling Ladies by @Lucky Dog

I stumped for this thread for HOF but it wasn't ultimately nominated this year. Maybe in another year. Regardless, this might be my favorite set of his. Simple. Classy. Elegant. Wonderful.

Of all the sets I'd love samples of, this is right up there with the Lady Luck Club set. The following are the best pictures I could find of the set. I've seen others, but they appear to have evaporated from the sources I originally found them from.

I don't know how the hell I missed this one, but I did. I kick myself in the head every time I see them. Irritating as hell, really, since I was around for these and yet either missed the thread entirely or saw it and foolishly passed. Great set. Hoping for a full addon where I can grab some samples!

I'm a bit on the other side of things, because I already have nearly all of the custom and casino sample sets I want (to date). My unicorn sample sets are the ones you simply CANNOT get.....

.... because the owner/creator has a no-samples policy. Like these four gorgeous sets:

I've never seen the circus city set. But ever since the E&C mold became available, I've been thinking about a circus-themed set. I guess it's not that crazy of a coincidence - elephants and circuses . . .

Sorry for the thread jack. To answer your question, I've been trying very hard not to become a singles and sample sets collector. But I have a couple of E&C sample sets on their way, so I may be losing the he battle.

In all fairness, you're the only person on earth not married to my wife who owns one the Fite Club Hundos... Maybe my favorite chip of all those sets... ;)

I have a decent amount of sample sets already (so I have a lot of the sets I love) but I would love to get my hands on the following (just to name a few that come to mind).

1. Any of @ChaosRock 's sets as pictured above.
2. Gambling Ladies as pictured above.
3. Meatboy's Hungry Frog set
4. Aztar spotted hot stamped tourney set.
5. Ritz

And the Angry Mallard ceramics which were never made unfortunatey but still holding out hope that they will (camo chips FTW).

I absolutely love that set. We should put together a GOCC group buy one of these days. If we went with Sun-Fly, we could actually get a real webbed feet mold produced.

No way I'd be in for a full set (they'd just never see the felt...too much tourney set competition here at The Armory, and I don't host many tourneys to begin with), but I'd rock a sample set like a boss.
 
I was thinking that the camo chips would make a decent low-stakes cash set (green quarter, white dollar, orange $5). Optional lavender nickel and solid black $20, although I might prefer to use currency plaques for the higher denoms. Or maybe custom 'trophy' plaques from MSK..... these guys look pretty pissed:

I might be one of the few that has a complete sample set of the Hungry Frogs. This includes the 618 T25, the Champions chip, the bounty, all tournament denoms and all cash denoms. it is one of my keeper samples. Not a great pic, but ...

I'd like a sample of the Grand Championship of Poker (GCOP) sets. The few that have come up, I was too slow on or they were too pricey...

Otherwise, I have quite a few older samples, and I probably haven't been around long enough to know what I'm missing.
 
I keep missing on getting the $2 Hitching Post from @Mr Tree . maybe next year I will remember.

I've sold some of my favorites, but have most every sample on my wish list. There are probably a few of the older BCC sets that I am missing samples from, but all-in-all, I am happy with what I have. I need to get a few more chip displays as well, as 2 117 cases just wasn't enough.

oh, if anyone has an extra sample of my Avanti set, I'd love to buy it back. I don't even have a full sample of my own chips. (missing the quarter).

I have been to Paulo's house, and played with his chips and almost payed $626.25 for a sample set. But I figured he would strip search everyone when the rack was short. :). He and Links are no-sample guys and It leaves a big hole in my collection that I don't have those sets.
 
I still haven't fully committed on which direction I'm going to go with buying samples, but I'll eventually probably start buying more from custom offerings.

In the meantime, here is 1 set that always turns my head and I would eventually like to track down a sample for.

Similar to @upNdown, I've stayed away from collecting sample sets for no other reason than to protect the wallet... But if I were to, I'd start with these and I'm sure I'm forgetting some... doing this from memory so please forgive mistakes...

I’ve only been able to check off the Ritz sample and some of the Hungry Frogs. Still holding my breath for @ChaosRock ‘s beautiful samples. :ROFL: :ROFLMAO::D

I need to add the Colony Club set to my list as well.

Edit: oh and I assume there are no available samples of you BTP @Chippy McChiperson ?
