"Most Annoying" Entries... (1 Viewer)

I was trying to keep the bracket to 16 and also had constraints about finding relevant videos for each challenger. Jamie Gold, while annoying and not likeable, didn't seem to come across anywhere near as bad as many of the others I found videos for (or perhaps his moments are just harder to find)

I considered JRB, but didn't consider Farha or Darden. I've played with Darden, although he was extremely quiet and didn't really engage anyone at the table. There were actually a number of others I considered for the bracket, but many I couldn't find relevant videos to put them into the mix.
 
i think you could have put jamie top top dbag in there and pulled Scotty Nguyen....everyone including scotty agreed the drunk 2008 WSOP was off the wall and uncalled for but he is usually entertaining more than obnoxious, my opinion

Jamie Gold was a full circle annoying dick, thought he was a know it all of poker after running hot for one tournament. His antics, personality, play, betting methods, everything made him a douche.

Some of the other guys might meet one of these criteria, but not usually all at once, Jamie takes that honor.
 
and dont get me wrong, whatever yang does with his religion and how he leads his life is fine but maybe it was just that performance that got uncomfortable to watch, even seemed that way for norman chad if i recall which is amazing in itself for norman...:LOL: :laugh:

I had the honor of busting Darden out of a $360 tournament in AC about 8-9 years ago. He'd been a complete asshole all day, and everyone at the four nearest tables was overjoyed to see him go. That was my only experience with him, but the memory has stuck.

JRB's mostly a big doofus.

I kinda like Farha, actually. He's my kind of smartass. :cool: But he rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

Biggest dick in poker to me is Tony G. Can't stand the guy for one second. I'd contribute to hiring a hit man for that one...

Gold was definitely a name that popped up immediately when I thought of this bracket, but when I was searching for videos on him I just didn't find anything that stood out as anywhere near the other folks on the bracket had done. If you can find some that make the grade please share!

As far as Scotty goes, I was always under the impression that being drunk tends to bring out the truth of a person to some degree, so my former fan status with Scotty was definitely altered when I watched that event.

When I played with Darden he definitely came across as unfriendly/unapproachable, but that was just the vibe he was giving off, he didn't really say much.

I like Farha as well, he's slimy but entertaining. JRB can be kinda a d-bag, but generally in how he carries himself rather than how he treats others.

Tony G I view as ultra-competitive. When he's at the table it's like a switch has been flipped and he just goes all out. Part of it is strategy to get his opponents off their game, and part of it is just that competitive streak that rears its ugly head when he plays. I guess I'd compare it to an athlete that doesn't conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner. They'll trip you, jab you in the ribs, etc. Anything they can do to gain an edge over you and anything they can get away with.
 
I dunno, I think Chris "Jesus" Ferguson making off with Johnny Chan's quarter after having already absconded with our Full Tilt money is far more annoying than anything Gold brings to the table here
 
Jamie Gold wins. He's a massive prick. I don't think I could stand being in the same room as him, nevermind at the same table.

I see him and I want to attack him. It's like some deeply coded genetic/survival instinct. Take the fucker down, eat his entrails...

Unless being alive is a criteria, I think the Devilfish belongs at or near the top of a most annoying list. The Croc is pretty annoying too, but for quite different reasons.
 
Devilfish passed last year due to bowel cancer. Not familiar with "The Croc" but if he's anything like these he sounds mighty unlikeable

I think his name is Billy something from australia. I think i remember a clip from aussie millions cash game where he annoyed Phil Ivey to the extent that Ivey left the table.
 
No Mark Kroon? I know trash talk is a big element of some people's games but his, plus the insufferable Kroon/Hellmuth love-ins at the WSOP ME's, really really annoy me.

I'm sure he's a lovely guy away from the felt.

A thousand times, this. I don't mind Hellmuth at all. His antics are entertaining to me for whatever reason. However I spend 99% of the time Mark Kroon is on the screen hoping a giant AC unit falls out of the Rio ceiling directly onto his head.

He would be seroius competition for anyone in this contest imo.
 
Yeah. He comes across as genuinely unpleasant and IMHO the only reason he isn't in this competition is because it would be no contest.
