I recently came back from a trip though California/Nevada that included a stop in Reno, to visit the site of the Riverside casino. We ate dinner in the restaurant that now exists in the former casino. The next morning we went back and took some pictures. After leaving Reno we drove down to Las Vegas, where I first picked up a new wooden case for my TR King set from ASM and then stopped into Spinetti's where I had some TRKs waiting for me.
So I present to you, chips from three different era's of the Riverside casino, plus another Reno Casino - The Nevada Club:
100 - non-negotiable Riverside Jessie Beck's, to be used for $.50, 1971-1978
It looks great Moose. I'm glad the quarters arrived and I hope you like them. I sold them in a moment of weakness and as soon as I got the email saying they were sold I wished I had not sold them. You and Gopher both have great sets. Great idea for the $1's. It's hard to believe I no longer have a playable set, only one rack of $5's left that I'm labeling as Mapes quarters. Congrats!
That's a set with so much of what I enjoy .. history , mystery and value..... I'm sure the journey was awesome acquiring these beauties... The blacks to me are just raw incredible looking chips for sure....
