Hi guys,
new to the Forum but totally hooked on everything chips. Im on the hunt for a couple of 25ct, 1 and 5 Chips. I was wondering if you could recommend me mono-colored chips (like the fun nite ones or the CPC atlantic club ones).
Im really into the simplicity and cleanness of the mono color Chips and must own a set! Maybe there is an actual name for that type of chip that im not aware of. I hope you understand what i mean.

Greetings from Berlin!

I'm assuming you're looking for clay solids? Like Paulson THC solids? They are plentiful, but the problem is finding them with already-existing denominations that you want. Hot stamped chips would probably be easier to find than inlaid chips, however:

1) 25 cent hotstamps in quantity will be difficult to find, and/or expensive. Most frac racks with decent hotstamps go for $200+.
2) $1 hotstamp or inlaid solids might be able to be harvested from Las Vegas once the casinos reopen, i.e. Flamingo $1.
3) $5 solids aren't found extremely often. Most people end up making their own, usually by milling a solid and adding a custom inlay.

Good luck with your search, and welcome!

Thanks for the breakdown my dude. Thats actually really usefull information.

Yes, i meant clay solids. I guess im not too worried about the Denos. I can hot stamp them myself with CNCd Custom Brass dyes that i use for Leather working... im sure.

I have one question for you tho. Where do i get quality Solids from?

Another two points:

1) It is good that you can do your own custom hot stamping. However, hot stamping is usually done on newly made, unmodified chips. If you had to take an existing hotstamped chip and mill it out, the remaining strength of the thinner chip in the new (double sided) recess may cause it to break with a second stamp. I don't know if there are any people here who have had success re-stamping a milled clay chip.

2) Solids actually come up fairly often in the Classifieds and elsewhere, so keep your eyes peeled. Chips intended for milling should preferentially be in better condition - I would avoid HEAVILY used chips (but new, lightly, and possibly moderately used chips would still be ok). I, myself, used to sell lots and lots of Paulson THC solids, but I'm getting out of the game. All I've got left is a bunch of Reds (great for $5) and Chocolates (great for cash fracs or maybe high denom tourney). Feel free to PM me if interested.

Always have a look at the classifieds. They pop up there from time to time but more often in the last weeks.

If you have more questions I could try to answer. ;)
My dude, why is everyone here so friendly?

Back on Topic:
Is that because there are no Manufacturers left that produce these chips or because they also sell through the Forum Classifieds?

OMG those are my chips! Too bad i cant post on the classified yet..I would insta buy a rack of 1s
You can PM the guy. Or just post 2 times more. It's a really nice set. If I was a lot richer I would have jumped on that. Fracs that match the rest of the set are the hardest thing to find.

I sent him a PM and managed to grab a rack of 1s. Fracs are so expensive man...I`m just starting to realize that. I will keep an eye out for 25c. My main issue is that the overseas shipping oftentimes costs as much as a third of the price of the chips. That hurts.

There is only one manufacturer of compression clay chips that service the home market, and that is CPC (Classic Poker Chips). They are one of the vendor sponsors here and you can check out their website. They will make solid colour chips as well, based on their colour palette, and these can be done with or without inlay, and some of them can be hot stamped.

Every other solid chip you're seeing used by forum members are either old casino/home game stock that is being used as is, or customized for use in various ways that have been mentioned before. Rarely, if ever, is anything done or acquired on this site very inexpensively (though not everything is unaffordable).

I understand.
Im down with dishing out $150 per rack. And since i don`t need (yet) more than lets say 300 pc im positive that i can put a set together that i enjoy playing with. I have been in contact with CPC and I will probably jump the gun on their Stock solids i think.
