Monaco Poker Chips On Sale Now (2 Viewers)

Those look very cool, looking forward to some pron!

@Apache I can’t understand the absence of a $20 chip in this lineup. Not sure if this has been explained already. Maybe you (or anyone else) can educate me on why that chip isn’t produced for a chip set like this. I play cash games and for my type of game a $20 chip is very useful. I’m more confused by the inclusion of a $10 chip. I browse may photos of sets on this site and can’t recall too many $10 chips. Are they useful for tournaments? Do they have higher demand than a $20 chip? This is the only reason I haven’t pulled the trigger on these. Would love to buy these but I need that $20. Looking forward to a response..

Cant wait to oil them up! Thank you guys again at Apache!!! You guys are killing it!

In pic of post #37, are the chips on the left already oiled up or are they only cleaned to remove factory dust?

I must say, I'm definitely a fan of these Monaco chips. If only my budget could afford some. :bigbucks:

I wish there was a nickel and a $20 instead of $.50 and $10. The only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger on a micro cash game set.

Was thinking rather than the 50¢ and $10, a 5¢ and a $25,000. :D

What stakes do you play? In casinos a 20 dollar chip is rare and a 10 dollar chip is very rare. Generally casinos use $1, $5, $25, and $100 chips which covers the vast majority of games spread. In truth I don't think a $10 or $20 are necessary. Just buy $5 and $25 chips in the right amounts you need and away you go.

It seems like the set is finalized so not sure if Apache will be looking to add/change any of the existing set.

Many if not the majority of home cash games, especially lower stakes, use $20 chips because they are much easier to deal with than $25s in buying in and cashing out. A $20 chip is badly needed here.

I think most people who are not members of this site will have different buying patterns and I bet most of Apache's customers are not members here. I was looking at another chip set where you can buy demons individually and they offer a 50c and $10 but no 5c and $20, exactly like Apache.

Ugh...

I want a pure cash set for one table (300-400 chips) but can't decide between these Monacos or Apache's CC Dunes... the latter being less than half the cost. Denoms would be 25¢, $1, $5, and either $10 or $20 for rebuys/addons depending on the set.

I like the Dunes colors a bit better but the Monaco Paulsons just feel a lot nicer, and I like the differing shapes of the "inlays". I understand fully the potential issues with CC's.

I think I know what the consensus here will be... I'm just thinking out loud and inviting comments from the gallery. ;)

(yes, I have samples)

i have both, and honestly the Dune's is the best CC in my opinion as far as feel goes. I love how they shuffle and feel. but i really like my Monaco set too. Really depends on what you want. But can't go wrong with either one. (y)

Have them here at work with me. You can tell it’s going to be a real “productive” day. :ROFLMAO:

I'm building a micro stakes Pharaoh CC set (once the $0.05s are back in stock) but also bought a casino used Paulson set for less than $1 per chip for a low-mid range stake set. I really like both but I thought I would be happy with the CCs for a while and it took less than a month for me to break down and get Paulsons lol.

Both have their place but there's a very very good chance you'll eventually get a clay set so it depends if it's worth it to you to skip the CCs or have both.

After playing with them for a year, you will have forgotten all about the cost, and will have enjoyed playing with the Monaco chips more. After a year with the Dunes, you'll wish you'd gotten real clays. My 2c.
