I won an auction yesterday. Yay!
Then the seller cancelled the auction after I won. Boo!
I'm not including everything I was interested in winning, just highlights of the items I really wanted. If you have some of them, I have $$.

I am trying to get one or two really great inlay samples of each of the CPC molds. These Broken Bell cash samples would have filled in the HHR spot magnificently.

I've always coveted inlaid chips on the FDL mold. I mean, duh, check the user name. I usually prefer six-plus chips in a cash set for samples, but these looked quite nice.
want to buy 2.jpg
More CPC samples, the highlight being the 43mm scroll molds. Not too many of those out there.
want to buy 3.jpg
I collect fractional inlaid casino chips. I just wanted the 50c chip here.
want to buy 4.jpg
Another great CPC sample set. This time on the A-mold.
want to buy 5.jpg
As for the rest of the auction, I would have kept a few singles here and there, but sold the rest. Without trying hard I would have had buyers for the Broken Bell tourney chips, Terribles samples, Mark Twain samples, and the Cleveland 25k chips. The Far North samples with a dealer button would not have been difficult to find a home for either. On the bright side, the seller saved me $191 and the extra work of reselling.

If you have items like this to sell, shoot me a PM or post here. I appreciate it.

Yeah, that was some real BS, and a real bogus move on the part of @moojersey . The guy runs an auction, gets multiple bids from multiple bidders, then refuses to sell after the auction time has elapsed and the auction is over. WTF??

Should not be allowed to participate in the PCF Classifieds whatsoever after that dick move. @Tommy

I reserved the right to cancel at any time. See the auction rules.

I was going to cancel around 6:30 given the price did not come close to what the lot is worth. I got distracted and caught up in family stuff. I apologize if you are disappointed @FDLmold

I really don’t care as I am getting out of the chipping hobby.

@BGinGA you are a loser and always the first person to throw stones here. Kiss my ass buddy. :) you are the most toxic person on this board.

Items will be posted on eBay individually since I realize no one here will be civil. Have fun. And again I apologize for disappointing, but I’m not a charity. I’m not giving these away.

Also what happened to no thread crapping rules? Oh well have fun skewering each other here. I won’t be back.

When you get the same money for your items on eBay after paying fees @moojersey and mailing multiple packages, you'll think differently. Good Luck With Auctions.

Total bs

Why because I had family stuff to attend to? Do yourself a favor and mind your business.

I’m going to take care of the winner if he wants to work with me.

How are those Aurora Star and Empress Star sets treating everyone ??????

No. Too many people mind their business in situations like this. If everybody pulled crap like that, there would be no auctions here.

Since you and a few others want to publicly ostracize me. If you must know the nature of the emergency. I have a very sick elderly father on oxygen. 2 heart attacks, multiple strokes, angina, etc. amazing he’s still alive

I had to help him take a shit and clean him up.

I’m sorry if you feel the cancelling the poker chip auction comes before that, but news flash, for me they don’t.

I missed it my about 12 minutes, very sorry, but you all need to chill out and get an f’in life

You're missing the point. You're clearly a very good son, but a bad auctioneer. You don't get to cancel an auction once the bidding starts.

Hey man, I'm sorry about your Dad. No doubt it comes before poker. No need to attack others though.

You're missing the point. You're clearly a very good son, but a bad auctioneer. You don't get to cancel an auction once the bidding starts.

Especially when the majority of the bids came in on the first day of the auction, and you were doing your best on the last day to bump up the price.

If you had an issue that they would go too cheaply, then you should have set your starting/reserve price higher or actually listed a sales price, instead of thinking that the auction was your path to riches.

(And if you quote the "reserve the right to cancel the auction" rule, then you need to quote it properly as well as the other rules you broke.)

FWIW I don't mind the thread crapping in this case. I can make another WANTED thread very easily. It's an important site/policy discussion. Moo reserved the right to cancel the auction any time. Granted, he did it after the auction ended, which is like putting the cup under the Keurig after it's done spitting out your coffee, but should that be allowed?

@moojersey Any transaction between us is affected by the first. It's like the godfather, once the first one goes bad, there is very rarely a second. If you want my address to send everything, I'll get it to you, and after I've received them in good order I'll pay the $191. Anything else won't work for me, despite really wanting a couple of your items.

For starters, you don't have the right to cancel at any time. Once the auction has bidders, it cannot be canceled. See the auction rules:

"7. I reserve the right to: i) cancel the auction if no bids have been made"

Very bad form to allow an auction to complete and then refuse to sell the items. Worse to try to deflect attention from that fact by name-calling and slinging more BS. If you had a minimum amount you wanted to get, just set a reserve price amount or start the bidding at that amount.

Folks do it all the time. I’m done with this though. I reserved the right to cancel.

Don’t like the terms, then don’t bid.

I offered to take care of @FDLmold

I’ll gove him a bit to figure out what he wants then taking the remaining chips to eBay.

Would have loved to sell them here but folks are just too much to deal with.

Well I guess the auction was not valid from the start

We are diagnosing part of the problem. There is a misperception that the HS Cleveland 25k chips are worth $90 each.

I reserved the right to cancel at any time. See the auction rules.

Anyone would tell you that means any time until the auction ends -- not after.

....the price did not come close to what the lot is worth.

That is your own fault for stupidly choosing too low a starting bid, i.e., which functions as a reserve.

I really don’t care as I am getting out of the chipping hobby.

No loss.

I’m not a charity. I’m not giving these away.

See my second reply above. It's your own damned stupid fault. Isn't that clear to you?

Doesn’t surprise me you showed up. Another toxic asshole on the board that never misses an opportunity to hurl stones or stick his nose where it don’t belong.

Same to you sir. Peace.

How are your Aurora chips doing?
Wasn’t in the group buy, don’t own a set. Don’t mistake my comment for what you apparently see as a mob thing between you and GBers, mine are based 100% on the dick move cancellation.

The only part of this that is not a load of crap is your statemnet "I really don't care.." As BGinGA stated, if you had a minimum amount that you needed to fetch then you could have required that as a starting bid amount. You didn't do that. It's not complicated. You auctioned off you chips and now you are not following through on your commitment to the highest bidder to deliver the chips for the winning bid.

As for "I got distracted and caught up in family stuff." It happens to me all the time, but I don't make others pay for my distractions. You need to grow up and take accountabiliy.

Here's a thought for you. You auctioned your chips off to the highest bidder. Just be a man and honor your word.

Auctions during Mercury retrograde. I even made a warning thread about this! Diving into quicksand.

That being said, if the auction timeframe completed it should be honored. It actually happened to me once on eBay where a seller decided to renege and refund me after I won the auction. I told him 'you dumb' but didn't take any recourse. I'd bet it was during a merc retro then too.
