Eventually these will be labeled as NCV's...

The set currently sits at...

200x blue
300x red
150x green
100x black

I'm good with it for now, but would eventually like to take it up to 1k chips, if not 1200. I think I'd like to add another rack of blue, and I'm looking for one more color as well. I think I would prefer whites or yellows, but orange could work too.

This one is going to take a while to finish for various reasons. Definitely a long-term work in progress, and one that may never be finished.

I have 260 mint burnt orange spotted chips (Roscoe's Casino $100 hot stamps), perfect for your expansion.

Actually, I think the color is 'pumpkin' - I'd have to check to be sure, but I think they have 3d14 spots (P15):

I was afraid you were going to say that, actually. At the risk of money leaving my wallet, can you post a pic of the chip? I can't find it on The Chip Guide or in a quick Google image search.

No pics exist, at least none I've ever found online. They are some great looking chips, though.

At the risk of $$ leaving your wallet, let me get them posed in something really sexy and I'll post pics tomorrow. :whistling:

Tell us how you assembled the set?

Whelp, it started with a love for Vegas World (note the avatar). Some day I'll do a post about why, but today is not that day. In any case, at some point when I was a newly-fledged chipper I went on an eBay singles spree for Vegas World chips. One of those singles was that red-ish Fabulous Frequency 100 chip, and I loved it. Then...

  1. @BGinGA had a tremendous garage sale of chips that included a mint rack of those Fabulous Frequency chips. Snap call.
  2. @Bobb59 posted a garage sale that included a mint rack of green spotted starburst. Lusted for a while, but couldn't pull the trigger just yet.
  3. Found a barrel of mint blue spotted Vegas World $1/NCV hotstamps, and the search was on for more. This is when the idea of a mint spotted hotstamped set was conceived, and I began to believe that it might actually come to pass one day. Lots of ifs and buts to work through, including the matter of removing the hotstamps, but the idea was there nonetheless.
  4. @Bobb59 slightly lowered the price of that rack, and the Euro/Dollar exchange rate was good enough to where it made sense to pull the trigger, even with shipping costs from France included.
  5. I found a classified add that @RussB42 posted for two racks of the blue Vegas World chips. He confirmed that they were mostly mint, with some in slightly used/very good condition. I have sufficient other chips to complete the second mint rack, though. Snap call.
  6. Months passed, then @Wils stumbled upon an eBay listing for 500 mint spotted hotstamped starburst chips, including greens (yay!), whites, reds, yellows, and - oh sweet mercy - charcoals! Only one problem: the seller was in the UK and would only ship to a UK address. I am very much not in the UK. This poses a problem.
  7. I post a thread seeking assistance form a chipper in the UK that would be willing to broker the deal, or someone that could otherwise assist. Enter @bentax1978 - a man with a plan, and a brother who happens to be in London. Long story short, Bentax and I take the auction and split the chips between ourselves (and very likely one or two other chippers). He gets his chips for mock Aruba Palm Beach $1s, I get some extra greens and coveted charcoals, and everyone is happy.
  8. @BGinGA reminds me that he has some chips from Roscoe's that might be a good addition. I am currently trembling at my keyboard, afraid that I'll like them.
...which brings us to the present moment.

Sometime in there I bought a rack of reds from a fellow chipper here on PCF. I think it was a Canadian this time? I don't remember the user, unfortunately. I also bought a rack of reds from Spinetti's to finish out the 300 reds.

Sexy? Are you going to have a topless model using two of those chips as pasties? :)

Glad I could be of assistance :)

By the way, the set you've put together looks awesome! Can't wait to eventually see the finished product.

Here's the set as it stands currently. Not the greatest breakdown, but plenty enough for a tournament or a single cash table, and sufficient variety that I can get creative w/the denoms if I want.

100x Yellow
200x Blue
300x Red
150x Green
150x White
100x Charcoal

@Bobb59 did a great job, didn't he? Those arc yellows are smokin' hot in that set.
Totally. Would love to somehow get those Grey's and pinks in my sets somehow but those colors are hard to use for a .25 cent chip. Love the color and striping on all.
