Place holder for the following:

Fitzgerald Casino Fracs
PCA $1.00 Secondary chips
Empress $5.00 Secondary chips
Grand Vic $25.00 Primary chips

I went with these because they all have the metallic gold somewhere on them, and I thought it was a nice through colour.

Okay just a little tease . . .

The hundo is the odd man out, but I doubt they will ever see action. Just trying to fill out quantities right now. More pr0n later, when my Grand Vics arrive.

Can't wait to see stacks of the solid gold and white PCA chips next to each other. It's pure gold. :D

I have a rack of the Fitzgeralds which I don't need. Just saying if you are looking for more of these.

Splashy pics tonight. My Grand Vics should deliver today.

Also, what kind of hundo do you think would go better with these babies? Not that I do not like the barrel I have (love that chip, actually), but if there is an improvement to be made . . .

Keeping with the metallic gold theme, Par-A-Dice hundos...

I hope the Grand Vics fit in with your set! They might distract from the others with the wornness though..

I have 8 barrels of GV prim $25s, and I could have sworn the middle color in the spot was gray, not metallic gold. I got them late, so they might be especially worn.

The PAD hundos would be a great choice. Jim might still have a barrel in stock. If you don't mind another GV and a mint chip in the mix, the secondary 100 has a nice metallic gold spot, too.

Looking at the chip guide, the GV sec $1000 has gold spots. Could make a cool DB.

I was unsure as well, but the picture in the OP looks the same color. I haven't oiled mine either which is probably a factor.

Tigon . . . I just got the chips you sent. AWESOME. Yeah, worn chips with mint may look a little "off" at first, but that will go away as soon as these beauties hit the felt.

Going to have to look into the recommends for the $100.00 chip. Anybody got a quick link? Or do I have to google that chip guide thingy?

Found it . . . that WOULD look good.

In person those hundos look a lot better than in those pics... The black sparkles also, and they are in great shape... They are the RHC ones by the way...

Selecting a $100 chip for this set, I'd go with one of these (in order of preference):
Eddie's Fabulous 50's (Black P20 w/ Metallic Gold, Light Blue)
Grand VIctoria, secondary (Black P31 w/ Mustard, Day Green, Metallic Gold)
Empress Casino, primary (Black P19 w/ Gold, Dolphin Blue)

For a $25 chip in a little nicer shape, you might consider:
Casino Aztar, secondary (Day Green P19 w/ Mustard, Gold)

And for reference:
Empress Casino $5, secondary (Red P25 w/ Metallic Gold, Sea Green)

Think I like the Par-a-dice hundos. Not a priority at the moment, but definitely something to keep on the back burner.

current numbers are . . .

180 Fitz quarters (near mint/mint)
400 PCA dollars (secondaries, mint)
280 Empress fives (secondaries, mint)
230 Grand Vic $25s (used)

UPDATE:

Purchased 360 chips (1s and 5s) to add on to my set. They left Georgia on the 2nd and, since they are headed to the Great White North, their first stop was . . . MIAMI?!?
Hoping to have delivery on Monday or Tuesday of next week. Pics, and updates on their wayward journey, to follow.

I would find a better 25. I don't like the inlay clash, although I see you trying to get Met Gold in the entire set, inlays need to mesh too, imo ;)

I take your point, but part of what I was/am going for are casinos whose chips became available when I got "the bug". President's, Empress, and the Grand Vic were three of them, so it was kind of neat to be able to incorporate them.

Besides, I will eventually be replacing the Grand Vics with minty fresh $25s, so I can look at a better "fit" down the road.

lol, yeah I saw that too - and it took two days to get there! I can order from PGI in Daytona Beach on Monday morning and get it Tuesday afternoon via USPS, but it takes two full days for something to travel from Atlanta to Miami? Not to mention that it's the wrong direction...... maybe they plan to send it on over to Havana by boat before getting on the plane to Ontario.

Probably trucked it down to Miami for the International flight to Toronto. Nice thing is that, once it gets here, I am pretty much guaranteed next day delivery, as the sorting facility is right over the fence from my work address, where these are delivering to.

Yeah, not like they make any international flights from Atlanta. #satire

Just seems like an unnecessary two day delay, and more opportunity for potential handling damage. If that box doesn't arrive pristine, please take pictures before and during opening. The chips are packed in a sealed bubble brick you could throw at a wall with no damage (seriously). Interested in seeing if they open the package and fail to adequately reseal/protect after inspection.

Oh pictures were planned from the get-go. I have no worries as to it's condition. Only reason I can see for Miami is that maybe Air Canada does not fly regularly to Atlanta (Hartsfield?) Airport, so Miami is a better fit for the Post Office? sort of like how my samples go from Toronto to Memphis to Michigan with FedEx.

For a $25 chip in a little nicer shape, you might consider:
Casino Aztar, secondary (Day Green P19 w/ Mustard, Gold)

I have to echo this sentiment. I'm almost positive I saw a rack for sale recently on eBay. It might've also been in the classifieds somewhere.

Departed Miami today. Hopefully this means Toronto on Sunday and into my greedy little hands on Monday afternoon.

Apparently, Detroit was a required stopover, but only for dinner, as they left Michigan at 11:30 last night. So (I hope) Pearson Airport this morning and a slim chance of delivery this afternoon, but more likely Tuesday. Tuesday delivery means the "reveal pics" come Wednesday.

They departed Pearson Airport this morning about 23 minutes before you posted. Where do they go from there? Local post sorting office?

From Pearson they would go to Gateway Postal Station, the busiest and largest postal facility in the country. I saw that "departed" notice and I have to say my first thought was "where to . . . Kingston?"

they should show up tomorrow (Tuesday) as our Postie has been and gone for the day. oboyoboyoboyoboyoboyoboy.

not that I am excited or anything.

Crazy thing is, the USPS site has more information than Canada Post's. Even though it is actually IN this country now.

Postie is INTENTIONALLY taking a two hour lunch today . . . I KNOW it.

Or maybe he just does not have them . . . #$&*@ !!!

For the record, this is courtesy of USPS. CanPost has less info. than the CIA torture reports.
